Cromwell Property Management

I am a resident of an apartment building on *** Ave East.The property management of this building is extremely *** and negligent towards their obligations. A few months ago a tenant, whose apartment was infested with bedbugs, was evicted. Due to the *** in clearing out and exterminating this apartment, the infestation then spread to several other apartments. The tenants have been deliberately left uninformed of the situation with the bedbugs. Even the occupants adjacent to the infested apartment were not notified until well after the infestation had spread. Furthermore the bedbugs have spread to other floors/units and the management is still keeping the bedbug infestation under wraps. This has resulted in other tenants not taking the necessary precaution to prevent further spread or be on alert to report new infestations. Eventually the management put up notices of 'renovations' and 'routine' cleanings. They are complicit in allowing the bedbugs to spread by failing to notify the other tenants and inadequately treating the initial outbreak. I believe that they are not following proper protocols. I only found out of the bedbugs while doing laundry when other tenants informed me their apartments were infested and that they were laundering all their clothes to kill off the bedbugs. I even heard of one tenant that was paying for the extermination costs out of pocket due to the delayed response of building management. This building is located in a good area and the rents here are not cheap. It is unacceptable how they handled this outbreak.
