My husband and I bought a Jeep Patriot in November of We have carried it back to the dealership numerous times for the brakes squeaking horribly Every time, they clean the brake pads, adjust the brakes, and send us on our way This works for about hours....then the squeaking starts again Every time we complain, they tell us it's due to the brake pads being like they are (Jeep standard pads)...however, I hear no other Jeeps squeaking the way ours does I have began watching and listening when I see a Jeep Patriot to see it they squeak I have yet to find one that squeaks like ours The owner of the dealership called my husband on Tuesday, said he'd check the service records and get back with us.....we have not heard from him since I have never posted a negative comment to any business, and we tried numerous time to get this resolved with no luck Frankly, we can't afford to miss any more work, going and having to wait for an hour or more in the service department - to have no improvement I have multiple video's documenting the brakes squeaking if anyone would be interested in hearing/seeing
I bought a used car from the dealershipI was informed by the dealership that the car had been serviced needing no major maintenance prior to purchasing the vehicle as-isThe car breaks down requiring a $5,repair with miles on it after the purchaseThe dealership manager offered no compensation or repairs stating that it was understood that it was sold as-isI don't dispute thatMy dispute is the fact that they told me the car was serviced with no issues when that's simply not the case when this particular repair has to be performed
After the breakdown, a manager responded to my question about the vehicle's service with a statement saying that 'sometimes the vehicles traded in aren't even washed.' This is contradictory to my understanding of the vehicle condition prior to payment
Ultimately when presented with all of the information, the general manager of the dealership declined to make any offer of compensation for the potentially undisclosed condition/damage regarding the vehicle
Squeaking brakes on a new Jeep Patriot
We bought our Jeep Patriot in November of Within a few weeks, we noticed the brakes squeaking really badly We began carrying it back to the dealership Only to have the dealership clean the brakes, adjust the brakes, and tell us it is due to the metal brake pads (stock) and send us on our way We have carried our vehicle back many times to have them tell us and do the exact same thing....which only works for a few hours - then it's right back to squeaking again We have not heard any other Jeep Patriots squeaking as ours does We are tired of having to carry the car back to the dealership every month or so to have nothing fixed on it We paid far too much for this vehicle to have to be worrying about it this much We are very unhappy, and unless resolved, will NEVER buy Jeep again
