Review: I Signed up with Credence Law Group in May 2013 for a loan modification with my mortgage company. At first they were very attentive until I gave them checks every month. It took them 16 months to get my first mortgage approved without me going into foreclosure. My second mortgage with Ocwen was not eligible for a modification because they took to long to negotiate that. I have emailed them several times asking for my money back that I paid them 281.33 x 9 months = $2531.97 because they have not negotiated at all for this. They will not answer my phone calls and their emails are returned undeliverable. I don't know what they did with all the money I paid them for my first mortgage because they didn't give it to Caliber Home Loans ( I gave them $ 1093.31 x 6 months $6559.86. I want that refund back in full also or at least part of it. They are the worst company to deal with.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of $2531.97 for the what I paid for Ocwen and all or part of the payment of $6559.86 I paid for the modification of my first mortgage Caliber Home loans.
Review: This law group was to help me get a loan modification on my house. When I spoke to the first representative ([redacted]) I was told my fee would be somewhere around $400.00. I was told to send them a check for $1,217.72 that was to be put into a trust fund to make payments on my home at a later date and to be used as leverage with the mortgage company showing them I could make the payments consistantly. I went to [redacted] and put this amount of $1,217.72 into Credence Law Group's CA Account (CLG) for the month of October 2013, November 2013, December 2013, January 2014, and February 2014. During this time I was putting depositing money in CLG Account I was under the impression that this was going into a trust fund for leverage with the mortgage company. I was also calling weekly to get a status of my loan modification. When I would call they would tell me the Mortgage Company was wanting updated information. I would send the same documents almost weekly. Then [redacted] told me I would only have to deposit 900 and something dollars because we were coming down to the end of securing the loan Modification. I put 900 and something dollars in CLG Account for the months of March 2014, April 2014, May 2014, and June 2014. Again, I was calling them constantly to get an update on securing the loan modification and being told the Mortgage Company wanted updated information. I then decided to call my Mortgage Company (Shellpoint Mortgage) myself and find out why they keep on needing documents I had already sent to CLG numerous times. They reluctantly gave me information because they had it on record that I had representation from Credence Law Group. I was told that information I had faxed over to CLG was never given to my mortgage company or it was not given in a timely manner . Most importantly I also found out the I was DENIED the Loan Modification back in FEBRUARY 2014 and it was now June 2014 and I was still making payments to CLG Account.Desired Settlement: I am willing to pay the fee of $400 which [redacted] had told me I would be responsible for but I want a refund on the monies over the $400.00 that I put into Credence Law Groups Account. CLG owes me around $10,000. I also want to point out that I was limited on telling you all of the details about our problem with CLG because of character limits. I do have documentation when documents were sent to CLG and when they were actually sent to the mortgage company. Bottom line - I ended up securing my loan modification myself with Shellpoint Mortgage effective November 1, 2014. [redacted] made excuses as to why I was denied back in February and never notified by Credence Law Group. Gave me a bogus excuse that we missed the deadline and he was now applying for another form of a loan modification. [redacted] made many promises in which he never upheld. He was also to e-mail me a copy of our contract which he never did. I don't ever recall even signing a contract. ???
Review: This company said they would restructure my second mortgage I paid over 3500$ 2 years ago and was told this was handled. I have since gotten a bill for over 48,000$ and when trying to contact the company I have been completely ignored and no number I have works to contact them. Also the company who has this mortgage says they were speaking to someone and that person just stopped responding as wellDesired Settlement: To clear off this second mortgage like they said they were going too
Review: I got in contact with this company through a housing authority in order to get a modification on my property. It has been 9 months since they have been working on my file. I have been paying them between 579.00 and 759.00 a month and they have been working with me so they claim. My dad took ill and I had to go home to get his affairs in order. Cancer is not a illness that is easily dealt with. I informed Credence Law Group of this and they said it was ok when I got back we would pick from where we left off. One month prior I got served to show up to court I call to ask if you guys are my lawyer should not you be there as well. Their response was to show up and let the court now I am working on a modification. I did go to court a few weeks later but before that I got a letter stating that they cancel my service for non payment. I did not know what to do . Later that evening I got a letter stating that they could reopen my file for 1000.00 I did not have that to pay so I went to court to find out what was going on. At the court house the judge gave me a month to figure what I was going to do. After all the help at the court house. I found out I Credence Law Group did not do anything and the court house never heard of them. Now I am left in a situation that I don't know what to do. I have two children I have no family or friends here where I live. I do know some people but now who can I trust? They also told me that they would not touch the funds I was giving to them until the case was resolved . I now want my money back because I may be home less and this is not the way to go about things. I am having terrible head aches and now I have to have surgery to a prior condition and I have no one to assist. Please help.
Sincerely [redacted].Desired Settlement: The return of my funds
