Do not go here. This company will take your vehicle after not quoting anything for the work they did. My 87 year old Mom had our Ford Ranger truck towed to their business and never quoted anything to check out. My Mom brought her vehicle there are other occasions and was never charged to look at her vehicle. They wanted to charge us for telling me the vehicle needed a $2700. engine so this was like kicking us when we were down. They said the sign was on the wall which my Mom had the vehicle towed. They spoke with her on the phone and never mentioned a charge which I would have been glad to pay if they would have quoted that to my Mom when Randy (the so called ***) spoke to her on the phone. Now they wont return our broken vehicle. This is a warning to all that think about going here. Beware!!!

Whom told me he was the owner Crawford & Barger tried to charge a fee after not quoting an amount to inspect the truck, told us our truck had a bad engine. Not only did he tell me that he wouldn't work on the truck he picked an arbitrary price out of the sky and quoted $2800. to fix the truck. My Mom is an 87 year old that told me they never charge her to look at her vehicles so she had the vehicle towed there and then they would quote a price to repair it. They never quoted a price to look at the vehicle then wanted $95. and told me the sign was on the wall but my Mom whom had the truck towed over their was never in their office and had the truck towed trusting them. They have never charged her before to look at her vehicles.
same sign on back wall of office 20 years reads diagnostic fee 95$ we charge to check out vehicles all vehicles we can't afford to work on your vehicle for free !!! I told this fellow in question I wouldn't work on his or his mothers vehicles ever again because he had a melt down and cussed me out even told me to stick the ford ranger up my *** then ask me to price a engine w/ install for him so I did told him between 2800$ and 3200 (latter after I booked the job out it came to 3080$+tax) I will gladly give his truck back after he pays the 95$ + 25$ a day storage which started 3 days after job was finished !!!

I am rejecting this response because:
The so called owner of this business was rude through the conversation and I did get upset with him. My Mom has done business with this company on other occasions and said she was never charged to have them look at her vehicle. She is 86 years old and trusted this company to treat her as they did in the past. She spoke with the owner before having the truck towed in to this business. She was not there but on the phone. They never quoted anything on the phone, which is the customary thing to do. How are we supposed to know what they charge without being there or being told. Normally any auto repair company would quote before charging anything before not after, which is what this business did. I would warn anyone that does business with this company if that’s how they have to make their money. I’m in business myself and never charge after the fact unless the customer knows exactly what their responsibility will be. This was not done by this business. I would never do business this way and it wouldn’t be worth it to me to have an unhappy over $100. To me it’s not the money it’s the principle.

Vic Barden

I am rejecting this response because: It still stands that he quoted nothing to my Mom when she spoke to this owner on the phone in which we had to have the vehicle towed to his shop. She told me that they never charged her to check out her vehicle. That's why I sent the vehicle there. I was quoted $45. at another repair shop. He is not being honest saying I cussed him out as soon as he answered the phone. That's ridiculous. He got testy when I explained my side. If this is the way they do business they should tell all customers what they charge and for what they are charging for, up front, not after. That's not to much to ask. They didn't do that. No one should do business like that. That's called being honest.

I would not recommend taking your car to this place. We took our 2009 Chevy HHR there because the check engine light came on. They said it was two camshaft solenoids and replaced those for $318. When we got the car back, the engine light came back on immediately. They had the car for a week trying to figure out why the engine light was still on and we had to keep calling them for updates. First they said the computer needed to be replaced, then they said they were still trying to figure out what it was. Then they did an engine flush and said the camshaft phasers needed to be replaced for $968 and the solenoids were out again. We no longer trusted them to fix the car, so we picked up the car and took it to a Chevy dealership. The dealership said they would never do an engine flush on a car with over 150,00 miles, there was probably never anything wrong with the solenoids, and our car doesn't have camshaft phasers. The dealership fixed it and I wish we had taken it there from the start and saved $318. This place is either purposely dishonest or they don't know what they are doing.
