We had our confirmation in hand, where they clearly stipulated the penalties for us cancelling e.g. the full rate would be charged to us. Three weeks before we were to check in we get a call. They are cancelling our reservation due to overbooking. If that is not bad enough. No offer of rescheduling. They are just refunding our payment. Now you are probably saying what we did. But you booked in October. They should be cancelling people that booked later... offering compensation, being apologetic". No none of that. Not even so much as.. we regret this. I tried phoning the manager and left a message to express my dissatisfaction. No response. I emailed. No response. I don't even believe they overbooked. Perhaps they regretted their promotion and decided that they could fill their resort at the full rate. [redacted]
