I made a deal over email to help my active duty son in law purchase his first ever brand new car When we got to the dealership, the salesman, Juan Swanted nothing to do with me as he only wanted to speak with my son in law that had zero experience at buying a car It got to the point where Juan started yelling at me to the point where he got another salesman to keep me away I wanted to leave right there and then, but my son in law doesn't like confrontation so I didn't press it One thing led to another and I knew the price my son in law should pay for the car and drilled that into his head It seemed to all work out after signing papers But a few days later the dealer called and asked why my son in law hadn't come in to put his $down payment? This was a total shock and surprise to ALL of us as this was totally hiding under another label/name on the contract Bottom line was the dealer figured I wouldn't look over the paperwork because the words out of the dealers mouth did not line up with the HIDDEN $charge Well I told my son in law he has the choice of giving the car back or paying it, and as I said earlier he doesn't like confrontation so he paid I tried to speak with the chain of command of the dealership and they all saw my point but said it's too bad Bottom line is the dealer pulled one over on an active duty service member and they know it It's really a shame there are people in this world that go to these great lengths to make a penny I even left messages with MrCrain himself but he will never call back
Very shady practices, would not show window sticker nor invoice. Ended up trying to sell wife (alone) a car for $2500 over MSRP. Also got mad that I wanted the old car back and the manager stood up and started yelling, calling us stupid among other things and telling us to get out of his office and telling us to get off the property. Very poor in my opinion. The manager needs anger management and needs to be removed from customer contact.
I made a deal over email to help my active duty son in law purchase his first ever brand new car. When we got to the dealership, the salesman, Juan S. wanted nothing to do with me as he only wanted to speak with my son in law that had zero experience at buying a car. It got to the point where Juan started yelling at me to the point where he got another salesman to keep me away. I wanted to leave right there and then, but my son in law doesn't like confrontation so I didn't press it. One thing led to another and I knew the price my son in law should pay for the car and drilled that into his head. It seemed to all work out after signing papers. But a few days later the dealer called and asked why my son in law hadn't come in to put his $2000.00 down payment? This was a total shock and surprise to ALL of us as this was totally hiding under another label/name on the contract. Bottom line was the dealer figured I wouldn't look over the paperwork because the words out of the dealers mouth did not line up with the HIDDEN $2000.00 charge. Well I told my son in law he has the choice of giving the car back or paying it, and as I said earlier he doesn't like confrontation so he paid. I tried to speak with the chain of command of the dealership and they all saw my point but said it's too bad. Bottom line is the dealer pulled one over on an active duty service member and they know it. It's really a shame there are people in this world that go to these great lengths to make a penny. I even left messages with Mr. Crain himself but he will never call back.
