RE: ID # [redacted] Dear [redacted] : Customer's Statement of the Problem: We moved out and left our apartment spotless and cleaned the carpetsI have pictures of the clean apartmentThey are posting fraudulent charges, which should be considered wear and tearThe apartment was left in immaculate condition and the charges are excessiveWe have been in email contact with the previous resident and came to a mutual agreementThe resident was informed that we will be happy to refund the cost of paint, as well as the cleaning chargeHowever, the carpet cleaning charge will remain per your lease agreement, page 3, section 14, titled Security Deposits, as it states: "Owner/Agent may deduct the cost of carpet cleaning from the deposit regardless of whether Resident cleans the carpet before delivering possession of the dwelling unit back to Owner/Agent." We have agreed to refund them an additional $255.00, which the resident's response was: "That sounds fairThank you very much for taking our complaints seriously and handling it quicklyThank you." The additional refund check will be mailed to the resident by the end of this week
