Cozy Inn

I arrived Sat. 02/29/20. I had seen an advertised price of $50 on expedia/internet. When I arrived, I saw a sign on the property, advertising a price of $39.99 and up. When I spoke to the male owner, I told him I would be staying for a month and asked how much the price would be. The man showed me 3 rooms and asked me which I wanted. I told him. And again, I asked him how much it was for the month. I told him I wanted to pay two weeks at a time. He told me $50 a day, which would be $350 a week. I gave him $700 cash. I asked for a receipt and he refused to give me one. He told me he would as soon as I paid him the rest for the month. I repeatedly told him that I would have to pay him every two week. He still refused to give me a receipt. During the check in process, the man repeatedly asked me to keep the lights turned off if I wasn't in that room at that time, the t.v. off when I went to sleep, and the heat off, when I didn't just absolutely need it, to help keep cost down. I finally went to my room #104. Later that evening, I left all the lights, t.v. and heat on, and went to wal mart. I was gone about 15-20 minutes. When I returned, all the lights, t.v. and heater were off. I saw the man monday evening and he made reference to me leaving stuff on and he went in and turned them off. He said I went to wal mart and was gone about 15 minutes, and he asked me to cut everything off when ever I leave or am not in the room, that I alway have the light on over the sink. Tuesday morning, aprox 11am, he knocked on my door. When I answered, he asked me to come see him at the office. I went right away to the office. The man started making comments about my face, and that I must not be happy there, and he asked me for more money or I could leave. I told him fine, i'll leave, just give me back my money. He gave me back $440. He charged me $70. per day. I told him I only stayed there 3 and he had told me $50 per day. He said he had to pay for cost and that's what he charged me.
