Coyote Hills Golf Course

Review: My Wife and I were married at Coyote Hills Golf Course on July 18 2015 and also hosted a pre wedding event at the venue on July 17 2015. We have two complaints and are seeking a total refund for $7500. Here are our reasons.

# 1: Coyote Hills overcharged us on bar consumption for both nights. We had agreed on host bar charged per drink consumed. We were charged $2940 for July 17th and $5313 for July 18th. This cost includes a 21% service charge and 8% Sales tax on consumption. Coyote Hills has not provided us a receipt for these charges and has told us that they do not have a tally of consumed drinks. We have repeatedly made requests asking an explanation of charges above but have not received an answer. On each of these day, we were monitoring the drinks consumed and had asked the bartender for updated tally several times. near the close of the night on 17th, we were told that tally was $750 which with 21% service charge and 8% sales tax totals to $980 (charged $2940).

For the night of 18th at the end, we were told consumption was around $1500 which comes out to $1960 with taxes.

We are therefore seeking a refund of $1960 ([redacted]) for July 17th and $3352 ([redacted]) for July 18th.

Complaint # 2:

Coyote Hills did not provide us agreed seating arrangement for our guests. Several tables were set up with incorrect number of chairs and several tables were in incorrect places causing major disruption in our event. Several of our important guests sat on the floor for this reason. For this reason, we are seeking a refund of $2187

Review: We signed an Event Confirmation Agreement on March 1, 2015 for Coyote Hills Golf Course services to be provided to us on August 1, 2015. Per our agreement, we were supposed to confirm our agreement by 05/01/2015 with a second deposit. Although we never confirmed our agreement and never received any "agreement" services from them, they sent us an email on 18 Jul 15 stating they have canceled our event and are demanding us to pay $5,072.77 (The cost of the entire wedding with food and drink minus our initial deposit)-- This amount is even more than the $1,172.77 "agreement" cancelation fee. In addition, they stated they sent us a certified letter that we never received as well as stating they hadn't been able to reach us. We were under the understanding that if we didn't confirm our agreement, that we had no agreement and they could cancel our agreement. Since our agreement was unconfirmed more than 90 days from the agreed upon date of services and there's been no contact, we feel they are trying to charge for services that were never confirmed or provided.Desired Settlement: For Coyote Hills Golf Course to change our balance owed to zero. As we do not feel they should charge us for an unconfirmed agreement. We also did not receive the services listed on our agreement.
