I bought a 2007 Cobalt in late 2012 from Cox Motors. I made the big mistake of not requesting a Carfax for this pile of garbage. A few weeks ago, I started hearing a horrible clicking noise and feeling a thud along with it while I was driving. My dad is a great mechanic, so naturally he decided to fix it. It was the CV Axle on the passenger's side. Today he took it apart to replace and discovered that the car had most likely been in an accident before and someone just used whatever they could scrounge together. So far what's visible is a manual transmission CV Axle and gearbox. This Vehicle has an automatic transmission. My dad can't put the right CV axle in and obviously won't put the wrong one back in, so my car is stuck up on a jack, unusable. I still owe 4200 dollars on that piece of crap. Isn't a dealership supposed to check out a vehicle before they sell it? Or did you put the pile junk together yourself and sell it to the person that didn't know how to look for that stuff? Thanks for nothing jerks! Can I have my 6400 back?
