Coventry Motor Works

On 10/27/2018 I delivered a 1972 MGB to *** owner of Covenrty Motors for estimates on engine and body work. I made clear at that time that this was to be a gift to my son for his high school graduation in the spring of 2020. On 12/6/2018 I got and approved the estimate for $6465.00 which was later increased by $2375.00 to include work on the gearbox and differential. Of the $8840.00 total estimate I have paid $7665.00 thus far. In mid to late January 2019 the engine was sent to a machine shop for rebuild and the body was sent to a paint stripping shop and body shop for painting the engine compartment. That is where my car has been ever since, *** the owner of Coventry Motors is out of the country and my project car has been abandoned where it sits at the body shop and machine shop for the entire past year. Mr *** does not answer repeated attempts to contact him either by mail or e-mail, his cell phone is no longer in service. I went to his shop on 11/20/2019 and found his son working there who called his father and gave me the phone. *** apologized and said he would call his sub contractors and find the status of my car. That was 6 weeks ago and I've sent him two follow up requests by mail since then. I have heard nothing back. I have copies of all of my correspondences with Coventry Motors. Mail can not be delivered to his shop.
