Review: I first reached out to Covario/Rio SEO seeking online marketing services. The company represented in multiple conversations, screen-sharing presentations and phone calls that they could provide my company with 25k to 35k visits per month by including links to my site in Google search results and in Google Maps, Yahoo Maps and other mappings systems. I agreed to pay the company $15k in setup fees and $5k /month for the services for one year with a 6 - month out-clause. I also spent tens of thousands of dollars buying a URL that RioSEO said would help them get more visits (TravelGuides.com). After signing up, I was told that my links could not be included in Google's Map or other mapping systems. This would limit the amount of visits I could expect to receive, I was told (after signing). Once the website launched, it had multiple problems. We fixed many of them but--after 3 months--the site only achieved 1088 visits. They agreed to cut my price to $2.5k /month and build all these additional pages. I waited a month and no additional pages were built. Visits stayed around 1000 visits/ month. Finally--the company told me that they didn't think that my project would ever reach expectations so they were going to stop working on it. Today the site gets about 1,000 visits /month (less than 4% of what they presented in marketing presentations. The site they were charging me $5k /month for earns $154 / month in revenue. I am out tens of thousands of dollars because they 1) told me that links could be incorporated from maps and 2)told met hat they could send me 25k visits/month.Desired Settlement: I wish to receive a refund for the monies invested in Rio/ SEO on the representation that they could include me in Google Maps and other Map Navigation websites and that they could achieve 25k visits /month for a site that they built.
