***, Regarding our conversation this morning, *** was informed that we do not have housing assistance but we are a Senior Retirement Community, with restrictions on incomeOur rents are not adjusted on a sliding scaleOur rents are set by the stateI suggested if
she needs rental assistance that she can apply for Section Housing through the Central *** Council of Governments and we do accept their voucher for rental assistanceWe work very closely with them. I also told her we are a 100% NON SMOKING campus and do not allow smoking anywhere on our propertyNot on patios, not on balconies nor anywhere on our campusThere is a sign posted at our entrance stating that we are a non smoking campusWe are classified as a year and older Senior Retirement Community and do not accept childrenShe was informed that everyone can complete our application but before I could say anything further, she starting cursing me out as she quickly stormed out of my officeAgain EVERYONE has the right to make application, and she is invited to do soShe is welcome to come back and make application, including all her familyI cannot approve nor disapprove her application until it is completely filled out with all supporting documentation that must be providedWe will be happy to assist her with this Sincerely *** *** Property Manager
