THE ABSOLUTE BEST FOR BOARDING AND GROOMING IN THE AREAI HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR YEARS
I purchased a puppy from CK, contacted them within 12 hours of purchased because puppy was lethargic and puppy died in their care.I recently purchased two puppies from Country Kennels. I purchased a miniature poodle and a papillon. I had the papillon for less than 24 hours because it was very lethargic. I purchased the puppies on October 2nd and left Country Kennels at 7:00pm that night, I called Country Kennels starting at 7:00am on October 3rd and called until I spoke to the Manager because the papillon was lethargic and wouldn't eat, it was also vomitting. The manager suggested I took the puppy to the emergency vet but I have a seizure disorder and can't drive. They only thing they said was to put karo syrup on the dogs tongue but the papillon wasn't having a seizure. The vet they referred me to apparently works every other Saturday and was off that particular Saturday. I didn't have a ride to the Vet and my friend was at work so I asked a representative from Country Kennel to pick the puppy up. Finally [redacted] came to my house and picked the puppy up at 7:00pm that evening. She made a comment, "the dog won't make it back" meaning the dog would not survive. The puppy passed away, they didn't take the puppy to the vet and try to save its life, instead they let my puppy die. The owners refuse to give me my money back, the $1000 dollars I paid for it and instead tried to offer me a Chihuahua that was on sale for $599. The reason I bought the poodle and papillon is because I'm allergic to dogs and those puppies don't shed. The papillon was a Christmas present to my mother. They claim to be Christians but they refuse to honor their Health Guarantee. The Health Guarantee is null and void because the puppy was back in their possession when it passed away (within 24 hours of purchasing it). They placed the papillons death on me and I was already in distress along with my 93 yr old mother and my friend over the death of my new puppy. They still have not resolved my issue and refused to refund my money when they sold me a sick puppy. They ALSO said that the poodle was a "TOY" and its a Miniature. They have lied from the beginning and continue to lie everytime I speak to them. I would never recommend anyone ever purchasing from these so called "Christians". They claim that their dogs are disease free and heathy but the first poodle I was interested in had a seizure problem. The young girl also attempted to sell me the puppy, knowing it had low blood sugar and would show me how to give the puppy her shots. That is absolutely disgusting that they would intentionally sell me a puppy with poor health and except me to nurse it back to good health on a regular basis. They ALSO stated that my friend and I had the puppy "All over town", and thats the reason the puppy DIED, which makes absolutely no sense to me considering I drove from [redacted] to [redacted] (to drop my friend off who drove me to get the puppies because I have seizures) and back to [redacted]. BUT they failed to recognize that the puppy originally came from [redacted] or [redacted] (They can't get their story straight) and they claim my 1 hour of the puppy being comfortable in my van to its 7+ hours of coming from out of state. By the way, I just viewed the "Bill of Sale" from the breeders to Country Kennels and the puppy came from [redacted]. I am absolutely sick to my stomach because I no longer have my puppy that was a present to my 93 yr old mother that lives with me and the so called "Christians" robbed me of my happiness with my puppy and my money. The puppy died in THEIR possession which voids all heath guarantees agreements.Desired SettlementI want my money back!! I'm already in distress because my puppy died and they need to make the situation right and give me my money back!!Business Response We are saddened by the loss of ms [redacted]'s puppy/ and also the loss of her trust and her business but unfortunately nearly all young, small breed dogs suffer from hypoglacemia or low blood sugar. This condition is easy to prevent and even fix but it is almost unavoidable and if left untreated can be quite serious. That is why all of our customers sign a health contract explaining these risks, the symptoms and some causes. When Ms. [redacted] puppy began to experience a blood sugar drop whether from stress of a long ride or simply the excitement of getting a new home, we told her to give the puppy some karo syrup and to take it to the vet. That is our policy. It is not our policy to go get a puppy in the middle of a low blood sugar episode and try to treat it ourselves. After several calls from Ms. [redacted] the groomer went(on her own) top get the puppy and help until Ms. [redacted] could get it to a vet. The groomer told her the puppy may not make it and sadly it did not survive the trip. Country Kennels does not replace pets in this situation but we did, in this case offer Ms. [redacted] a puppy from our remaining selection. We did not have another exactly like the one she had but we did have the one she requested, she chose not to accept our offer of a replacement puppy. Once again we are very sorry for the loss of her pet and hope that we can mend our relationship and reputation if she would accept one of the other puppies we have. [redacted] mangerCountry KennelsConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)They did not tell us about the puppy having low blood sugar. That is a lie and I have a witness. They only reason they told us about Karo Syrup was because they tried to sell us a puppy that had seizures and we declined. They can call our lawyer. XXX-XXX-XXXX and ask for [redacted] This will not resolve my issue by giving me a puppy "on sale".
