After speaking to my Desk clerk, I have found out that the guest called after minutes that they do not like the propertyWhy did they check inn if they did not like the property for the get go? when they arrived to give the keys the maintenance guy went to check the room and the room was used so
we refused to give the money for one night (the night of the check inn) and the other night was refunded to the guestDue to the room being used we did not provide a refund for the night of the room being used at allIf the property was a major disturbance to the guest why did they check inn to the hotel and get the room and use it when they could've clearly cancelled the reservation and went else where to where their desired needs were met to the max. I have given the guest the one night room money back and that is the most we are going to do about thisThank You, *** ***

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
First of all Mr*** did not cause the water damage Mr*** is claiming he didI did email a report to Mr***'s corporate office when I emailed the Revdex.com and have yet to hear from them. It's a bit of an inconvenience that I could not and still cannot obtain a phone number for their corporate officeI would like to know exactly what time the house keeper checked the room according to your CCTV. Since he was not the only customer. I'm also not quite sure how they had time to fully inspect all rooms surrounding room 121, from the time the water had been reported to the manager to the first phone call Mr*** receivedMr*** received his first phone call at approximately 9:am according to voicemail which we still haveIn the voicemail they claimed they had already called the policeThat does not sound to me like they really even cared to hear what he had to say. When Mr*** arrived they had already called the police, charged our card, and assumed him to be guilty before even talking to himI'm not sure if there was a bit of a language barrier or not but they were not polite about the matter at hand. Mr***'s statement has yet to say where exactly the water came from. IF Mr*** had done this, for this type of damage to have been done without there being a problem with the room or surrounding rooms, it would of had to occur while and only while he (Mr***) was still in he roomWith that being said, check the CCTV at the time Mr*** left! Mr*** would of had to have left wet foot prints and suitcase tracks on the concrete am I right?! WE will not back down from this or accept any blame! Have a blessed day
Regards,*** ***

[redacted]Dear [redacted]:
I received your letter in the mail on a case ID: [redacted].[redacted] stayed at the Americas Best Value Inn Austin South on the day of 09/28/15, Hestayed the whole night and at the time of check-out he came to the office and returned the key at the time ofhis check-out which was approximately at 7:00 A.M. on 09/29/1 5. We took the room key from him and lethim leave, when my head house keeper came in at 8:00 A.M. she takes the check-out list of people whohave checked out and goes into their rooms to make sure they didn't leave anything in the room, as shegoes into Mr. [redacted]'s room (121) she tells us that the whole room is flooded with water. Wecheck to make sure that the water did not come from any other room before we contact Mr. [redacted] and askhim what actually happened and how the water came into the room. Our plumber inspected rooms thatwere next to the room 121 which Mr. [redacted] stayed in and there was no water leak at all from those room,we even told him to check upstairs just in case if the water came from there as he checked upstairs andinspected the room there was no water leak at all that led to Mr. [redacted]'s room 121. We contacted him andtold him that there is a problem in his room so he will need to come to the hotel so we can talk about it andshow him what happened. We even stated after showing him the room that there will be a total estimatecharges ranging from $600.00-$1000.00 (replacing all Furniture, Carpet, Carpet Pad, Trim Boards) for theroom damage that he has done to the room he stayed in. At the same time we even got the police involvedto be on the safe side and make sure that weren't making the room damage story up, we also created apolice report. When he came down to the hotel and we asked him what actually happened, but apparentlyhe didn't want to cooperate and tell us his side of the story or he didn't even want to listen to what we wereeven saying to him. So the Credit card he left with us on file was charged, but we only got a total of$101.00 which came off of it. Which does not even equal to the total room damage charge at all. Buyingthat one type of furniture is hard and replacing that one piece of carpet is not that easy of even cheap at all;as what we explained to him. His fiancé went ahead and called our corporate office to file a report on us forcharging the credit card for faulty purposes. We explained everything to our Corporate office and sent thempictures of the damage that was done in the room by MR. [redacted] and how he didn't want to actually standup to his word and say "Yes I made a mistake, I'm sorry I accidentally left something running and thewater came into the room." But he didn't and now we a police case filed against him and a corporate reportthat has started. Nothing is going to be cleared until we receive our amount of money that equals out to thedamages done by Mr. [redacted] or any apology letter stating what he did in the room.
Sincerely,[redacted]General ~~ a$ger
