I was going to re-establish contact with you because Country Boys Tree & Landscaping indicated to you that they would contact me and get the work complete.  It has been over a month and I have heard nothing.  It has been a year now since they have been paid for the work yet it remains undone.

Review: We hired Country Boys to remove some large trees from our backyard. While they promised to be back in a week to grind up and remove the stumps, it took us three phone calls and two months before they returned to remove the stumps. Once there, the machine they use to grind the stumps somehow pulled a rock in and kicked the rock out and into my back sliding glass door. While Country Boys seemed apologetic at first and indicated they would reimburse us for the cost of the window, after at least six phone calls to request payment, we still have not been reimbursed. I had an estimate of almost $500 to replace the double-paned window, which per the glass company, was necessary to ensure the window was properly sealed. [redacted] from Country Boys balked at the idea of a "pane of glass" costing that much money. I offered on two separate occasions to email a copy of the invoice; he refused. On multiple occasions, he promised to mail a check, drop off a check, etc. Then he just stopped responding to my calls. Apparently, Country Boys was no longer willing to provide reimbursement for the damage they caused to our property once they found out how costly it would be to actually replace the property. We did not deserve to be treated this way. We paid our bill ($5,700) by credit card before the trees were even removed. The damage to our window was their responsibility to fix, even if it was accidental. The idea that they would cause so much damage to a paying customer's property and then completely blow us off when we requested reimbursement is appalling.Desired Settlement: I would like Country Boys to reimburse us for the cost to replace the window - $487.35.

I spoke with [redacted] from the company and he states that he would have to see the receipt of the payment for the window and he will be willing to reimburse the consumer once the consumer deletes their comments off [redacted] said that he would rather do the exchange of payment in person that way he would have proof of full payment to the consumer. He also stated that the consumer can call or text him to talk about the reimbursement.

Response:

It appears that the check was delivered to our mailbox this morning. We have not tried to cash it, but will do so tomorrow morning. If it does not cash, I will let you know. Otherwise, I think we can consider this claim resolved. Thanks so much for your help.
