Cottman Transmission and Total Auto Care - Waldorf and Beltsville

Review: On June 19 2013 I went to cottman because my check engine light stay on and I was having problems putting fuel in my vehicle. I spoke to [redacted] the manager, after doing the diagnostic test they still couldn't find what the problem was. So [redacted] recommeded that I have a smoke test done, that still couldn't find the problem. He than told me that it probably could be my gas cap and that I should replace it with a factory part. I agree, he call the dealer to get the part and they told him that the housing had to replace also. Between the smoke test labor and parts I was charge $306.55. On the 22 of June I when to put fuel in my vehicle and still had the same problem, the next day the check engine light came back on. I went back to cottman on the 25 of june but they told me to come back and other day because I had to much fuel in the vehicle. I may an apointment for the 27 of june. Now they are telling me that the problem is that I need to replace the canister vent valve and they want to charge me and addition $449.60.Desired Settlement: I believe that cottman should repair my vehicle and only charge me for the part which is $89.95.
