We had been looking for a specific type of carpet at a reasonable price and found it at Cottage Carpets in Richmond The show room was not the fanciest of accommodations The owner Gary, unusually for a salesperson, came across as kind and honest Apparently, Gary wasn't as perceptive because he should have turned us away for being too finicky We ordered carpet from a popular manufacturer that came with flaws Gary ordered a second roll which turned out to be from the same defective batch which we didn't notice until after installation We switched our choice of carpet to another style from the same manufacturer, however, on installation we realized it was not as nice as our first choice We returned to our first choice and finally the manufacturer provide a flaw-free roll Throughout, Gary was calm and helpful even though he paid for the deliver and installations several times
