To Whom It May Concern, Please accept this letter as a response to the complaint filed on June 11, 2016 with the Revdex.com by [redacted] Lane. [redacted] and [redacted] entered into a lease agreement with Costa Del Sol on February 13th, 2015. When speaking with [redacted] last week he mentioned to...
me, Sharon Mooney, Community Director, that his mother, [redacted], was previously removed from the lease agreement some time back. After reviewing his lease file, I found that the appropriate paper work was not completed, and that [redacted] was still on the lease. When I told [redacted] that we could still accommodate his request once the appropriate paperwork and documents were completed, he became very agitated. The team of Costa del Sol did not shred any lease signed "solo" by him. When I asked [redacted] if he could show us a signed copy of the roommate change addendum so we could make a copy, he could not produce one and said we were calling him a liar. We are more than happy to complete this paperwork when we can have the appropriate documents signed by all parties. The Texas Apartment Association lease agreement does not allow for any verbal agreements between the parties involved. [redacted] submitted a request to have his tub resurfaced and this was scheduled for June 10th. Before work could begin [redacted] was required to sign a release which explains the hazards of the chemicals used and advised him that he must be out of the home for 24 hours. [redacted] was not home at the time the contractor arrived so the contractor went into his apartment to start preparing to do the work. The contractor never saw a cat inside his home or he never would have refinished the tub. [redacted] came home a few minutes after they completed the resurfacing and said his cat was inside but appeared fine. I received an email from [redacted] later that evening saying that his cat kept hissing and trying to scratch him and this behavior was not normal and that he would be taking him to the vet if it got worse. I followed up twice the following week and [redacted] told me his cat was ok now and all is fine. He also followed up with me in an email thanking me for my concern and that he believed his cat would be fine too. [redacted] has requested to be released from his current lease term and we have agreed to his release after the appropriate documents are signed by all parties. Once signed, we will give him a copy to retain for his records.
