Cosmo's Paving & Concrete Reviews (3)

Review: On June 23, 2014 my neighbor was having [redacted] do some concrete work for them. I walked down to talk to the person from [redacted] to see if he would give me an estimate regarding adding an additional concrete parking area to my drive way. He came down gave me an estimate of $[redacted] cash, this would include them digging up my grass, installing wire, base, compacting and 4 inches of concrete in a 10' x 25' section. After concrete was poured they would cut and seal the concrete. On June 24th they came dug up my grass, added the wire and compacted the base. On June 25, 2014 they came to pour the concrete it started pouring down rain (6am forecast had 80% chance of rain) so they covered it with plastic, he assured me it would be fine. He instructed me to water it a few times per day. At that time my husband paid him $[redacted] cash. He came a day after it was poured to cut it, I asked him why some areas of it had dots he told me it was because it was raining the day it was poured in 5-7 days they should go away. I tried to call him a week later because the dots were still there. The number on the invoice was [redacted] that number is disconnected. I then looked up [redacted] on line and found [redacted], I then left 5 messages with no return calls from them. I noticed an[redacted] truck at my neighbors on July 25, 2014 so I walked down asked him why he hadn't returned my calls, his reply was what calls. I told him about the wrong number on the invoice he said he did not write that number. He then came to my house looked at the concrete and the dots on it said they sealed it last week and the dots should dry up in 30 days. The dots are still on the concrete so I called him on August 6, 2014 after looking for a different number online. I reached him at [redacted] at that time he told me he would stop by later to look at the concrete around 4ish. He never showed nor has he tried to contact me. It has been over 45 days and all the dark marks exist.Desired Settlement: At this time I would either like the concrete tore up and replaced AND poured on a sunny day at no cost to me or I would like a refund of $[redacted] CASH which is half of the amount we paid.
