I have received satisfactory resolution from the business although they haven't responded to the complaint on the Revdex.com system Is there a way to cancel the complaint or mark it as satisfactorily resolve (even though the business has not made a formal response through the Revdex.com)?
There was a
misunderstanding and I was out of town at the time, so unfortunately, I took me a couple of weeks to respondThe end result was that I corrected the issue and sent him a check for the closing costsMy word is very important to me, and I truly believed Mr***’s complaint, so I did everything I could to make it rightI personally wrote him a check and mailed it the same day we discussed the issue 98% of the time we pay the seller’s closing costs and the instances that we don’t are when they’re negotiated out of the dealIn this instance, I initially agreed to cover closing cost for the purchaseAs we negotiated and I agreed to increase my offer price, I thought it was clear that I could no longer cover the closing costs This was my interpretation of the deal, which is why the closing costs we not listed in the purchase contractI was scheduled to be out of town during the closing date and the following week (which was approxweeks after we signed the contract), so I pre-signed and pre-funded the purchase with the title company before leaving town Upon getting back in town, and getting caught up from being away, I realized this issue occurred and I called *** to discussI listened to his explanation of the contact negotiations and his understanding of what should have happenedI truly believed that he felt the closing costs should have been paidSo, I apologized for the misunderstanding and mailed him a check for the closing cost that day I am writing this after the fact, as I believe Mr*** has already dismissed the complaint and agreed that the result was acceptable (or satisfied, depending on Revdex.com’s terminology)I apologize for the misunderstanding and wish I could have addressed it faster to avoid this issue
