Copper River Grill

My husband ordered our usual from Copper River Grill on 2/16/20 - Copper River Salad, Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, and Steak Quesadillas (we decided to try something new). When he arrived home with the food everything looked great and everything was tasting amazing until I took my third or forth bite into my salad and noticed something in my mouth that I wasn't able to chew. Naturally, I took the item out of my mouth and looked to see what it was - at first glance I thought or wanted it to be a shrimp leg. NOPE, to my surprise it was an insect leg (like a roach or maybe a scorpion or something of that nature - of course I took photos). It had claws and hair, the entire nine! I was mortified. If it was a shrimp leg I could have gone about my business and enjoyed my food, but this was DIGUSTING and UNACCEPTABLE. Of course I called the restaurant immediately and asked to speak to a manager (I couldn't go up there cause my husband had to leave for work, I was handling my toddler and fighting an asthma attack). I was able to speak to ***, the kitchen manager, who after some time was apologetic and did issue us a refund on our meal. However, my second issue is that my husband asked if we could get a gift certificate for the inconvenience - this was denied by "corporate"! For me, I don't really want to entertain eating there after this, but you're telling me that "corporate" cannot come off of a $25 gift certificate for the costumer that actually had an insect leg in her mouth'?? It's not that I noticed it in my food, it was in my mouth! We've LITERALLY received more compassion from restaurants for food that came out cold and/or in an untimely manner. I'm offended. My husband and I won't be eating there again and DHEC will be contacted. This is completely disgusting and the lack of concern on "corporates" end is a disgrace.
