Review: Went in to buy a 30 rack of [redacted], there was a sign hanging from the ceiling stating that the cost for a 30 rack was $19.99. Went to ring out at the register and it rang up as $21.99. I let the cashier know of the price difference and he called a supervisor to come over and look into the situation. I walked the supervisor over to where the sign was still hanging, showed him and he agreed with me. He then stated that he was unable to update the price because he didn't know how to in the computer system. The sign clearly stated [redacted] 30 pack $19.99 ++ (plus tax and bottle deposit). He then ripped the sign off the wall and tried to change the price in the computer system and that didn't work. After he only tried once, he looked at me and said that he couldn't change the price and therefore couldn't match the price. He then took the sign and ripped it up and threw it in the garbage. I advised him of CT policy if the sign says something then they have to make good on it, to then he started to get very defensive and wouldn't meet the price of which was advertised. I then told him that if he is going to be like that, I will take my business elsewhere and he said good luck and watched me walk out of the store. Mind you, he was making this big deal over $2 which he had a clearly posted sign. This is a typical scam and everyone should be aware of this businessDesired Settlement: I would like an explanation as to why I was treated like this and being I had to travel a great distance to another store to buy what I wanted, I think some sort of compensation would be sufficient. The fact of the matter is the business had an advertisement and wouldn't make good on that advertisement so I would like that explained. There should always be a way to adjust a price... not to just tell the customer I can't do anything sorry.
