Towed our car after racially profiling us. They took a photo of a random family and claimed that it was mine. Described completely wrong outfits and continued to refuse that they had made a mistake. When they finally described what we "looked" like in the photos, it was completely wrong. Even with our receipts they wouldn't just own up to the mistake and they still haven't. The lady at on the phone and at the place was absolutely rude to us.

Racists and a bunch of scammers

I’m filing a civil case against Contract Towing, Inc. located via 3344 W Cermak Rd, Chicago, IL. 60623 due to illegally towing my car (Black 2008 ***) at *** Louisiana Kitchen located 300 E 35th St, Chicago, IL. 60616. When I took a cab to 3344 W Cermak Rd, the manager of the day at 4:30 P.M. claim/assume I was not a *** customer because I did not walk into *** to explain to them I was getting money at chase bank. As a customer, how can I walk into a restaurant and order without having the money by hand? I spent no longer then 10 minutes a chase bank retrieving the money. As I walk across the street back to *** to make an order, I notice my car was gone. Whoever towed my car at the time enter the wrong information such as my VIN #, license plate #, and time of towing. I have documents to show proof they wrote false information. Also, my receipt I receive from Contract Towing was scratch out; I ask the manager and an employee could I receive a new document with the right information and without scratches. I feel it was very unprofessional of them to denied writing out a new document because the report did not identify with my car information. Also, they had the wrong time they towed my car; I have a picture and my receipt at chase bank to prove they did not tow my car at 2:17 P.M. I was actually on a phone call with the company at that time trying to locate my vehicle. I honestly believe I should be refunded my money because I was a *** customer.

I have just had the worst experience with contract Towing. I bought a new car. I went to change car and the woman on the phone was out right rude. I was told that I couldn't transfer the pass to the new car even though I had a 120 days left on the old one. I went to pay for the new one and I was told it was $25 dollars. My apartment complex rules only $20. I's even on the website $20. the woman who answered the phone said if you want to risk having your car towed over the $5

My car was wrongfully towed on a Sunday by Contract Towing. I called their customer service and told them about the mistake they had made. The woman on the phone, Darneisha, said that there was nothing that She could do because there was no manager on duty and that I would have to pay in order to get my car back which was wrongfully towed.

the towed my car and I have experience with this location before tow years ago they towed my car and. took me more then 3 days to get it back. I was calling no answer. and I did write any complaints but again they towed my car and I was calling them to many times they don’t answer me. I arrived to the place for them and was no one they said for me I should call before 30 minuets I did when I arrived was no one. I was calling no answer and I was really tired. they were trying to charge me more but I told them it’s not my problem u came here before three ours. ago and one was here they are treating people without and respect and all they want to make money only

If I could give it less of one star I could! The worst company I’ve ever dealt with! Customer service is the worst I’ve ever seen. Towed my car from a guest parking spot but my friends next to me (who wasn’t registered) wasn’t towed. They like to pick and choose who they want to steal $196 from. No signs, and not to mention I was put on hold by “Angela” for 28 min. They have the tow driver collecting money and he himself was talking bad about the company. Barb the owner doesn’t care about her customers she just wants her money. Businesses like this should be shut down for scamming so many people. There were 4 other people with me for the same case. At this point they will be receiving a nice call and case from my attorney! Let’s shut this horrible business down!

Barb was very rude & my car was towed because they couldn’t see my parking sticker which clearly was there! I was told they wouldn’t charge me if I can show them the sticker when I did I stil had to pay. I am suing them!

Last night I was visiting my aunt, and my car was towed from the lot. There were no signs ever put at this location that I couldn't park there or what times I couldn't park there. I took pictures of all signs and none were them. I took pictures of all sides of the buildings and there were no signs. In order to find out where my car was I had to flag down a tow truck driver and ask. I spoke with Barb the business owner the next day explained everything and she refuses to release my car without me paying. I explained she had no signs at the front or back of the complex which the law requires and which I have photos of. After speaking with Barb she ran out and put signs up, she was viewed doing it. Residents of the complex have all stated that there were never any signs up till today. I also have now been explained that you need a permit to park between 10pm and 7am, the current sign still doesn't state that and is still not proper signage. I would just like my car back without hassle or paying. This is entrapment.

Scammers. They towed my sons car and said it was parked for 24 hours last time I checked if I didn’t wanna go out and move my car for a week I have that right not to. I own property with private parking so why is that an issue

I woke up this morning to my car gone- when I called
Them they said I called in for the passes 5 min after I got towed but I was by outside and didn’t see any trucks. When I called them to talk to someone everyone was very rude.I talked to a deb and she told me there was no managers and the earliest they could get back to me would be by the night - but I have work and other things to take care. When I finally got thru to barb th manager an hour later she was very rude- telling me she heard someone in the background and to speak one at a time and that if I knew I was coming then I should’ve done better with the parking which is not her place to do.

This complaint is regarding the incident where my car was being wrongfully towed by Contract Towing on Saturday 1/5/2019.
I was informed on 1/6/2019 that my car was towed from my paid parking spot because of no online registration. After I called to explain to agent Julian on 1/6/2019 that I have paid for the monthly parking spot, paid for the online registration with Contract Towing (with the parking sticker on my car) and had called Contract Towing to update my change in parking spot, I was still informed that my car wouldn’t be released until I speak to his supervisor (Barb) the next day. I was suggested to pay $198.5 ahead of time to retrieve my car on my own though being acknowledged this could be a mistake.

I was informed that Barb would call me as soon as she returns to work and she would call me after 7am on 1/7/2019. However, I received no phone call from contract towing and had to call Contract Towing multiple times and only be informed that she was in the meeting. I was able to eventually able to talk to another staff Julie to prove my online registration, and the company currently has agreed to refund me $198.5 towing fee that I paid ahead of time.

I was then informed that the supervisor (Barb) will contact me later through phone on 1/7 after her meetings to further discuss my reimbursement request. However, I made around 4 more phone calls to see if she's out of the meeting but was only informed the same message. And I have not received any phone call ever since. After I emailed both Barb and Julie to follow up with my requests listed below on 1/8/2019, there hasn't been any response from the company:

1 Please confirm if my car information has been correctly registered in the system to avoid future mistakes.
2 Given the inconvenience I’ve been going through due to my car being wrongfully towed, I’d like a compensation plan from Contract Towing that follows a standard procedure a licensed towing company needs to have.

This Company are TOTAL SCAMMERS! LIERS! THIEVES!

Horrible Company, did not have an option to give lower reviews than that. I had registered my car but still they towed my car. When asked they do not give any replies. WORST WORST WORST company.

I have experienced 2 separate occasions where this tow company has towed a vehicle under my pass and has blamed me for it. In all actuality the blame should be on the employee answering the call and not getting all proper information on the vehicle being registered. They always answer the phone lines so rudely. Rushing the process and making mistakes and now I'm out of $200 for the second time in a month. Then when I went to the corporate office the manager Barb was simply unprofessional about the whole situation. Instead of taking the blame for this matter it's my fault that I have so many cars registered on my account. Makes no since and they have no care in the world. Right is right and wrong is wrong. They have record of me calling my vehicle in but I am still left to pay to get my vehicle out of impound. Second time in a months time. I've also heard stories from neighbors as well with similar situations.

Scammers. This company needs their business license revoked. They towed my car WITH a proper parking sticker still on it at my complex's parking lot. How is that legal in anyway?? I asked to speak with the woman or man in charge and was transferred to Barb who was completely unprofessional and in no way helpful. She told me in little words that it was "too bad" I was towed, even though this was clearly a mistake on their part. She made it clear she would not help me in anyway and that I needed to come and pay or would be charged more for leaving it. Now I am out of $200 plus $50 for the uber to pick up my car. Awful business who does not fix their clear mistakes.

They towed my car even though I had renewed my parking pass and was previously told by them that it was valid- I have proof of payment for the renewal. They couldn't find my information in their system (I have an account), and told me that my pass was showing that it was for a different car. They have proven in the past to be generally incompetent and sloppy with how they handle their business. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

Reaaly Sad thieving company. They took it upon themselves to mak changes in their system and towed a vehicle that was REGISTERED with them. They transferred me around to 6 different people. If you are a business, Condo Assoc or Apartment complex - you are GIVINg details to thieves. Their person TOOK it upon themselves to change information in their system. We were only calling to let them know that we would be there - we NEVER STATED WE NEED TO CHANGE THE REGISTRATION - If INDEED we should have done something differently THEY should have stated that when we called but THEY did not they made the changes in their system so that they could "get someone for $200 BUCKS" ILLEGAL TOW They lied and they just wanted to make a buck - I am not submitting my email or phone because these people WILL try to scam

Signs on building and office both display 24hour vehicle pick up and no one even works at the facilities. You have to wait hours for someone to get there someone being the tow guys because they don't have personal running the office only answer their phone at a entirely separate location they have. There should be someone here 24 hours if that is what they advertise, especially when they are taking your money either way. This situation is already an inconvenient one and they make it even more inconveniencing. This is entirely faulse advertisement. And on top of it the first time I got towed by them I didn't have a tag up..okay my fault...but the driver last time said he would no longer tow my vehicle or my fiance who lives in the building they tow from as long as I have a tag up and it doesn't have to be filled out...however here I am now 3hours late to work because they towed me again now but this test I did have a tag up and there is no assigned parking spots in our complex. So now I say don't trust this company since the driver who was the only one supposedly that patrols that lot and said he wouldn't tow me ever again n knows my vehicle...yet here I am waiting for two hours for someone who advertises that they are open 24hours yet no one is there.

Towed my car because they claimed it was 6 inches over the yellow line in my apartment complex which is a lie because it would have been out in the street. Barb was rude and condescending when I was speaking to her about my car.

I called in to register two guests cars. Read their information over the phone, off of a sheet of paper, to the receptionist (who was getting trained by "Jim"), was told by Jim after his employee couldn't operate the computer, (I even recalling correcting her putting in the wrong information, but still put in the wrong information somehow), after he took over for her, that I was "good to go". Came back Sunday and my car was towed. Talked to a new lady when I got back, said passes were expired. I renewed passes when I registered, so that was a lie. Called back again about trying to get reimbursed, was told the girl I talked to doesn't work there, and that the real problem was because the girl I originally talked to while register the vehicles wrote down the wrong information in the database. So employee error that IM paying for. I've called back subsequently 5 times, and no one took notes or forwarded my info on to the manager like they said. And now they refuse to reimburse me because it was registered incorrectly by THEIR employee. They have a recording of the phone call but refuse to release it cause they know theyre wrong.
There was already four other complaints on this site detailing the SAME EXACT thing. Now everytime I have a guest I have to worry about them getting towed, even when I do everything right. This company is a racket, full of incompetent employees, and may even have a strategy for stealing peoples property and evading complaints.
