say she was thinking about having a different company come out to finish the work. She wouldn't even let me tell her about the damage under the house. When she was given the estimate originally, she was quoted $900 to replace the sill plate, given that there was no joist damage. But she does have rotted joists from a faucet that was leaking but they'd had repaired and a previous squirrel infestation that they had to call an exterminator for. While the customer's husband was nice and very pleasant to work with, she was rude and mean. She just hangs up when she's done talking to you, even if you are still speaking to her. This is why I couldn't explain about the engineer's report. She indicated that she wanted to hire a different company and wanted to cancel the work she'd contracted us for. I let her know it's our policy to ask for a cancellation letter to be sent by mail and we will be charging her the 25% cancellation fee outlined in the contract. I did not refuse not to come back out to her home. We put on roofs all year long, so long as the weather is above 40 degrees. We take a lot of pride in our work. Prepared to write you a check but I want my deck painted. We felt like we'd gone above and beyond to make this customer happy. We powerwashed her windows, spent 45 minutes per window cleaning each one.
