Consignment store sold my queen size mattress, box spring, bed frame, queen size headboard, and 2 tables in Jan. 2020. Owner Brian has not paid me.
Consignment store sold my merchandise in January 2020: queen bed and box spring, bed frame, queen size linens tufted headboard, 2 glass and metal tables. They have not sent a check. I have called at least 7 times, even went in person to see that merchandise was gone, it was. Am told by employee Georgia that owner is out of town, that owner will send check two months after sale of things. Always same story, owner out of town. Called owner Brian' s cell- XXX-XXX-XXXX. he never has called me back about this sale. I do not know the amount exactly that he owes me, may be around $3XX-XXX. They have a record in the store of these sales. The employee Georgia referred to it when I went to check in person. I do not have a copy.
This business owes me a check for the sales of my merchandise. Owner *** should write the check and send it to me as was agreed to.
On 12/4/18 I consigned a Blue/white recliner with the business (consignor Code #XXXXX).
I initially contacted Brian on 4/22/19 and he told me the recliner had been sold and a check for $77.50 was issued and sent to my temporary address in Florida. I explained that I did not live in Florida but in New York and gave him the address in New York. He stated his system did not allow another check to be re-issued before 45 days. I had my managing/rental agent check the mailbox in Florida and no check was there. I contacted Brian again and he said check had been sent to NY. Again no receipt of check. Again I must wait another 45 days to re-issue the check. that 45 day period was up on 6/15/19. 11 contacts have yielded to receipt of $77.50
I would like the $77.50 check sent to me at my NY address.

As of today 8/5/19 I have still have not spoken to the business, nor have they attempted to contact me since the last voicemail they left on 7/16/19. I will certainly advise you of any attempts made in the future. The voicemail referenced a check allegedly mailed to me in February but as of April they noted the check had not cleared their bank. Although we spoke after that time no monies have ever been received by me.
I have tried repeatedly to resolve an issue I have with the management of this business . I left a large outdoor rug for consignment last summer . Because I had successfully contracted with the business In the past, I understood and observed the procedures . Despite four attempts ( via phone and in person ) , and in accordance with the guidelines , the management refuses to either return the rug to me or pay me the commission for its sale. I have a full set of notes and dates documented as part of my file . I never received a response from anyone in management despite being told four times " I'll have the owner call you " . The rug isn't expensive item but it's the principle - I operated in good faith and they haven't held up their end of the bargain . I suspect they lost my rug and won't admit it ,as no one can locate the item in their system . I am very disappointed in this business ( especially the rude manager on site who was condescending and dismissive to me when I spoke to him in person ) . I will not do business with this organization again and will not refer anyone to them in the future .
