Concrete Software Reviews (%countItem)

I purchased a content pack for a game and never received it. I contacted customer service and after providing proof of purchase they said because I don’t have Facebook they cannot provide content. They also never offered to compensate me for my purchase in the form of a refund and they also neglected to provide content in lieu of a refund. This is in and of itself fraudulent and should be dealt with as such.

Hello,

Customer support strives to resolve all customer reported issues directly and in a timely manner. For issues that cannot be resolved directly, customer support directs customers to the proper channels. In this case, customer support had provided instructions to receive a refund through Apple and instructions to login to Facebook to receive content as compensation to the customer. To the best of the company's knowledge, the customer has not attempted either option for resolution. Unfortunately, only Apple can provide refunds for purchases made on iOS devices, and such refund requests have to come from the customer.

In response to this complaint, the company will send a physical check to the customer in the amount of $5.98 on 10/29 to resolve this issue. The customer has been informed of the one-time payment and request to confirm their physical address.

I am rejecting this response because: The money is absolutely not the issue. The issue at hand is the deceptive business practices by this particular company. When you purchase something from a company you expect to receive it and if you don't you expect a refund. In this particular case only after contacting the Revdex.com does the company offer a refund. Also notice, the company has said or done nothing to fix the underlying problem. After my reaction to not receiving game content the company then said well you must have Facebook to purchase content. If I had known that I would not have attempted to purchase game content and this is the first time that I have purchased game content where it was required to have Facebook in order to purchase the content. Secondly, requiring the customer to seek reimbursement on their own for a mistake made by the company is absolutely ridiculous. It makes me wonder how many other people this company has done the same thing to? The only difference is that now there is someone fighting back. To fully resolve this matter the company would need to do the following things..... 1. Alert all users of this game that they must have an active Facebook account in order to purchase content. If the company is unwilling to do this they shouldn't be allowed to sell content to users. 2. Provide an avenue for refund. 3. Provide refunds directly. As stated above it should not be the responsibility of the consumer to seek their own refund this should be the company's responsibility. I realize now that after many emails and contacted the Revdex.com they are willing to do that at least in my case, but it needs to be done in all cases. If these changes are not made to the business practices within this company I will escalate this matter to the FTC and potentially beyond.
