Review: Had this company pour a 14X14 concrete flat patio pad in the rear of my home next to an existing pad. They failed to maintain a proper slope so that water would flow away from my residence with this new pad. With this improper slope on this new concrete pad, I now have water flow towards my house and a major puddling issue. They also advised me that they would pour concrete up to my residence underneath a bump out window in my kitchen area. They failed to do this. The owner of this company then removed caulk between the existing and new concrete pad that they poured. He advised me that this would funnel the water away from the house. This did not work and I now also have water build up in the caulk line. The owner then offered me a 400 refund to resolve this issue. I am in the process of filing legal action against this company.Desired Settlement: A refund of what I promptly paid this company to pour this concrete pad. Also the cost of what I will have to pay a company to demo this concrete pad and haul it away.

The owner is correct when he states he had to pour the 14x14 concrete next to an existing pad. However his crew did not maintain the correct slope away from the residence. This could have been easily completed during the initial measuring by including the existing pad in the whole area measured and by obviously staying level next to the existing pad and creating more of a gradual slope as you move away from the existing pad. (2 14x14 concrete pads, 1 existing and the new pad). When sloped and poured correctly, water should flow away from your residence. In my case, water on the new pad flows towards my residence and the old pad. This has caused major puddling next to my back door. The owner stated he would build me a wall to keep the water from flowing into my residence. I stated "no." He then stated he would remove the calk between the new and existing pad which would cause the puddling water to drain by running down this caulk line. His worker did remove the caulk, but this did not work and now just fills with water as well. As far as a demonstration on my driveway, I have no puddling issues on my driveway. And how would puddling on an area that was poured over 16 years ago be relevant to a brand new concrete pad that was just completed by his company.
