We contracted this company to design and execute a decorative design for our pool deck and screened in porch, using colored concrete stains and engraving We paid over $20,for this project This contractor ensured us that the work was guaranteed Within less than six months the stain began to come off of the concrete porch After several calls and texts over the space of several weeks, the owner/ designer who did the work came to inspect the problem He pressure washed the porch, which caused more damage to the color coating He said he needed to perform some chemical tests to diagnose the problem Weeks later, after ignoring my calls and texts, he said that the tests had shown that the concrete porch was coated with something before he started the project and that he should've used a different type of coating Now this contractor is again ignoring my calls and texts His last reply was to tell me that he is too busy working "on jobs where I can make some money" instead of working on the botched job he had done at our house, for which he was fully paid months ago My only option now seems to be litigation to recover some of what we paid him, then to find a a reliable contractor to repair the mess we now have
We contracted this company to design and execute a decorative design for our pool deck and screened in porch, using colored concrete stains and engraving. We paid over $20,000 for this project. This contractor ensured us that the work was guaranteed.. Within less than six months the stain began to come off of the concrete porch. After several calls and texts over the space of several weeks, the owner/ designer who did the work came to inspect the problem. He pressure washed the porch, which caused more damage to the color coating. He said he needed to perform some chemical tests to diagnose the problem. Weeks later, after ignoring my calls and texts, he said that the tests had shown that the concrete porch was coated with something before he started the project and that he should've used a different type of coating.
Now this contractor is again ignoring my calls and texts. His last reply was to tell me that he is too busy working "on jobs where I can make some money" instead of working on the botched job he had done at our house, for which he was fully paid months ago. My only option now seems to be litigation to recover some of what we paid him, then to find a a reliable contractor to repair the mess we now have.
