Review: We regularly receive letters from Compliance Document Services, a for-profit private company masquerading as a government agency. Their letters are clearly designed to look like an official government letter, complete with warnings on the envelope, threats of fines for non-compliance, respond-by dates, etc.
This advertising is clearly, unequivocally designed to:
1. Scare the business into thinking that it has somehow neglected to comply with labor laws regarding employment posters (whether or not this is the case), and
2. Trick the business into thinking that this company represents the government agency in charge of these posters, deceiving companies into paying $81 for posters that the government provides FOR FREE.Desired Settlement: The company should clearly be banned from using misleading advertising of this sort.
