Matt from Competitive has always given us the greatest service on our business HVAC systemNext year, we're having him service our residential too!!
I purchased my home from *** *** on may 11, When we tried to replace the furnace filter, we were unable to find a filters to fit our furnaceI spoke to Competitive Heating and was told that that we could purchased our furnace filters from Competitive Heating or order them on lineWhen I went on line to buy the filters, I was told that I had to go through a businessWe contacted the builders and was told that Competitive Heating would replace the furnace filter housing with a standard filter housing that can be purchased at local storesPaul the *** of Competitive Heating came out and replace the filters house but, the filter housing is still too short Although on the filter label that Competitive Heating put in the furnace box after replacing it says it is size 16x25x5, The furnace filter house box measures 16x24x The new furnace filter we purchased is too long for the furnace housingCompetitive Heating did not install the correct size furnace housing boxI
My furnace needed repair[redacted] from Competitive Heating evaluated problem. Stated inducer motor was not "up to speed" and needed replacing. Told [redacted] that my mother's inducer motor replacement cost $282 (from same company Competitive Heating) and he told me my motor would be a little more expensive, about $350 plus a little labor (general labor is less than an hour for replacing inducer motor, not $200. I figured it would be about $425 or so. I took this as a 'verbal estimate' trusting that this would be the case. I gave [redacted] permission to work on furnace on 10/27/14 as I was unavailable for contact that morning and left my c.c. info for him to bill me for the said repairs. The final bill was for $643.21!! This included a 'faulty ingniter' he discovered for $62 that he decided to proceed with without my permission. An honest place of business would try to contact customer if original estimate was way too low. This price was about $200 + then what I was told and I have no money to spare. [redacted]
