In regards to client concern ID [redacted]After reviewing the client's statement and the notes and documents on her account, we do not have any record of receiving the doctor's note the client faxed to cancel her account. Although we do operate with in [redacted]'s [redacted] we are separate companies and any...
information received by [redacted]'s is kept confidential, for the client's protection, unless they are specifically informed to pass along a copy to Compel Fitness. From the notes recorded on the client's account I see that she spoke with our customer service department on 9/30/2015, she stated that she was going to cancel for medical reasons, the representative asked her if she had sent in a doctor's note, the client responded, not yet she was still in the process of obtaining one, the rep then informed her that her account would continue with normal activity until the doctor's note was received. She was provided an email address to send the doctor's note so that our customer service department could process. To date, we have no further correspondence or record of receiving a doctors note. We are more that willing to get this resolved for the member, however we do need a copy of the doctor's note in order to proceed with any action on our part. That can be submitted back in a response to this complaint, or sent to us directly via email, my direct email is c[redacted]@compelfitness.com or faxed to my attention, Caitlin L[redacted]Sincerely.Caitlin L[redacted]Customer Service ManagerCompel Fitness, LLC[redacted]

We have reviewed the details on this account, we apologize, in this special circumstance the customer service team should have escalated this to be approved by upper level management. Read the contract!!! They will suck every dollar they can out of you, and charge you unknown fees that no one can seem to resolve. The phone customer service is a joke, they say to go to the gym to resolve unknown fees and then the gym says to call customer service. Trainer was ok... Other than the fact that a friend was thrown into rhabdo after her first workout and had to be hospitalized for 3 days. Would NOT recommend signing the compel fitness contract.

I have been working with you associated Brandon [redacted] to cancel my membership since I am moving to [redacted], California for work. I want to let you know that this is not a formal complaint against him because we are all humans and we all make mistakes. However, Mr. [redacted] has not been...
knowledgable about your policies and had not been timely with sending my documentation. Early December I spoke to my trainer and Mr. [redacted] about the process of canceling my membership and was told that my job offer letter would suffice as long as I brought it in by the end of the month, I would be fine. This was exactly what I did. I filled out the paperwork, gave Brandon my documentation and he assured me everything would be fine. However, after being charged a few days later I contacted him and he again assured me everything was fine. Then I was charged again. This time I ask for the email he sent to [redacted], and after days of asking he finally told me that “his email only went back to the first of January”. He has refused to take ownership for a mistake and now a month later it seems as though I am going to be punished for his doings. I have contacted [redacted] whom told me they never received anything from him. I would like a refund for $240, this is the amount processed after I initially gave Mr. [redacted] my documentation. In addition, I would like to add that I was truly deceived by your employees, I would like to also add that my move to California was not a new decision but one that was planned before I joined Compel Fitness. I had spoke with you associate April, the person who signed me up, and she assured me that I could bring my job offer and that would be sufficient to cancel my membership.I would like to cancel my membership, not be charged again and be refunded $240.
After further review of this issue and talking to the Director who signed this client up for the program, and the Manager that was shadowing, it has come to our attention that the client did understand that she was signing up for a training program and she was given a copy of the full contract to...
take home and review. The manager on-site has spoken to the client's mother and come to a amicable resolution, we agreed to release the client from the remainder of the contracted term without penalty. The $369 the client paid as her down payment for 1 month of sessions will not be refunded, however the client is able to use the sessions that were purchased, she has 30 days to do so. Both parties are in agreement on this solution and the account has been cancelled effective today. If there are any further questions please feel free to contact me directly.
