Community Fundraisers - Telemarketers

My family was contacted and asked to donate $20 for a fire fighters support group. The gentleman not knowing he was speaking to a fire fighter tried to suggest he was part of a professional fire fighter organization. when I asked who they supported the gentleman was vague at best. When I asked who they were affiliated with they danced around the question and would not give the answer. I asked if they were endorsed by any fire fighter organization and they said no. when I asked what percentage of the money donated actually went to supporting firefighters he would not answer but then tried to redirect me. I identified myself as a fire fighter and as soon as they were made aware they stopped trying to solicit the $20.00. I told them and have emaled them as they requested to stop calling. my family who is older and on a fixed income have received 4 calls since then and beyond 9:30pm. I have asked that the solicitation stop with no success. Horrible charity and these are the marketing companies that hurt the "good" people try to do for Fire fighters. Absolutley shameful!
