Community Management Association is responsible for managing the HOA for Sunrise Village at 55 E 700 S in St.George, UT. The HOA is responsible for the exterior of the building including the roof. We have an active leak in our roof that leaks into our home and is damaging our sheetrock ceiling, walls, insulation, electrical, and flooring every time it rains. The management company when we called said it would be several months before they could have anyone come fix the problem. This is an ongoing issue in the complex that the HOA has been discussing for more than a year and there are at least 6 units with active leaks right now. This is unacceptable behavior for the management company. The damage continues to get worse every time it rains and through negligence in maintaining and repairing the roof will cost several home owners thousands of dollars to repair damages inside their units. The HOA has given management responsibilities to Community Management Association to manage these problems and through failure because of inept management or negligence they will not fix the problem.
To whom it may concern: Community Association Management ("CAM"), is aware of the leak issues and has taken action by contacting several reputable roofing companies located within the St. George area. Many of the trusted/experienced roofing companies around town are extremely backed up due to the multiple rain/snow storms that are uncommon for this area. They are working fast to make sure all issues are properly addressed/inspected and repaired in a timely manner. CAM and the Board have taken the necessary steps and will continue to follow up with the roofing company to repair the roof as soon as the roofing company is available. We understand that this is frustrating and an inconvenience and we hope it can be resolved quickly. It is the owners responsibility to mitigate damage until the roofing company is able to repair the roof. Please be sure to keep in touch with your Association Manager by contacting [email protected] or 435-674-2002 ext 214.
