I went to pick my car up from CRG once my bank released my car. My mother had called them while I was on the phone with my bank, and received the address to the location of CRG, the person who answered the phone informed my mom that as long as we were there by 2 we'd receive my car. We arrived at 1:38 pm. On friday Augs 30. When I walked into the building the woman knew who I was from speaking to my mother and told me their was a $35 fee. This was after my bank informed me 6 times thered be no fees. But no biggy I payed my fees. While I was digging through my purse for my money. Ahe had asked me to sign some papers. I glanced at them and signed them and asked for a copy so I could finish reading during a latter time. She refused to give me the papers. I asked why she said because she didnt feel like giving me a copy. Which is completely illegal any papers that has my signature on I have a leagal right to have. She then snatched the money out of my hands after I signed the papers. And handed me. A receipt for the 35 bucks. What the other papers were, I still dont know. Anyway I walked out side once finished waiting for her employee to come out and take me to my car. I told my mother about the paperwork and next thing I knew the woman at the desk was coming out the building yelling and screaming at me. Sayong I slamed her door and disrespected her, she then demanded her money back. And her receipt and told me she wasnt releasing my car. Mind you this is after my bank has released it and been paid in full. And I paid the $35 fee they wanted. She had no legal reason to keep my car at this point, none at all! So I told her she wasnt getting the money back. And I told my mom to calm the police. And I called my bank. She got into my 70 year old mothers face yelling and screaming at her!! So the police came and handled things and I ended up getting mu car back. But I still havent received those papers. I almost got my taken for no LEGAL reason. And on. Top of it my bank said their known for this!
did show up to pick up her repossessed car. When she came she 1st refused to sign paperwork. Explained I cannot give her back her car without signed proof that she took possession of the unit. There is a 35.00 gate fee that is owed when they come to pick up the unit. She was explained this on the phone. Once she finally signed the papers she started to throw stuff in my office and slamming the doors. I went to her and stated that we are going to stop the redmeption and she can have her fee back and when she calms down she is more than happy to re-visit this again. She was continuing to jump up and down in the parking lot so I went back inside. Never once did I talk with her mother other than on the phone. Police did show up and have to get involved. When police where here they asked me to call the bank to confirm the conversation with the fees. They stated that they did go over them in fact when they were on the phone with her she refused to verify any information ect and was very hostile on the phone with them. I explained to them that the police were here right now and not sure what is going to happen. The police came to me and we came up with an agreement that since she finally signed her papers and there was a 3rd party there (mom and dad) that we would open the fence to them and they could get the car. At that point the police also informed me that she was not allowed to drive the unit as she had a suspended drivers license at the time as well. At that point is when the mother got out of the car and the lot manager (not me) opened the fence and retrieved the car. Never once other than the phone conversation did I have a face to face conversation with her mother. I cannot giver her the paperwork until the bank gets their copies and they send that papers to the debtor plus all their rights and responsibilities that is legally due to them. I tried to explain that to her but that is when she was throwing stuff and slamming the office door. As far as the 35.00 we will not refund it as that is the fee for the gate fee. Her bank covers all other fees except that fee. If you should have further questions on this issue please reach out to me as well. I am sure I can call the local police barracks and get a copy of the fine she received as well for harassment that day here in the office as well.
My car unfortunately got repossessed due to a financial problems on our end.... when the tow truck driver came to take it he was extreamly nice and explained everything to us! We finally got everything figured out financially after 6 days and my car was released! We called the number the tow truck driver gave us and they already had our paper work and said they would call the tow truck driver to set up a time to go get it (this was at 4:30pm on a friday)! The tow truck driver called with in 2 hours and said we could come the next day! He said he would be available in Altoona pa at 4:15 pm and when we got there he was there waiting for us! We got in my car and every single thing that was left in there including medication, money and a gift card was there!!! Even my necklace that was on my mirror that has been in every car ive had for 16 years was there and not broken! They took time to take it off the mirror and didn't break it!! Sorry this is so long but I am seriously impressed! No one wants to get their car repossessed but listen they do not take cars for the fun of it... it was our fault that it was taken! The tow truck driver made this so much easier for us... he didnt have to be so kind (that has to be a stessful job) or make sure my car was safe!
I understand it was my issue for not paying my bill on time. I had nothing but nice and honest things to say about CRG. I got prompt telephone help when I called in and a appointment the same day to be able to pick up my car. Thank you to Jessica and Todd for your wonderful help and understanding. There truly is nice people out there still. Thank you!
