Nobody likes surprises, but that is what we got with CRA.

Our brief for our new pool enclosure was simple: to open up the views at the top corner of our lanai and across the back. The three companies who quoted all came up with different suggestions, but we liked CRA's the best as this really made the most of the view from our house.

However, when the ground crew started building the pool cage, we could see immediately that this seemed to have little relation to the original agreed design. We checked the engineering drawings in the permit and could see only minor changes, so were completely mystified.

Then several hours later we discovered a *second* engineering drawing. The same engineer had signed off on two different drawings on the same day! Someone (and we never found out who) had drawn up a completely different design and this was the one they were using for the screen. No-one consulted us about these changes - we were just presented with a fait accompli on the day of the build. We called all work to a halt while we tried to sort the issue out but were told the crew had to go ahead with the construction.

Gone were the wide views at the top corner. Gone were most of the design details the salesman had said he'd included. To be honest, gone was the reason why we'd chosen this company in the first place.

We had wanted something a little special, a design that made the most of the views from our house. Well, surprise, surprise: we got a standard box. To say we're disappointed in CRA is an understatement. We would not use them again.
