They called a week later and said they would come out and fix it, I said we already had someone else clean up their mess. Their response: "okay perfect". Yes perfect for them, they didn't have to do the work we paid them to do. Unbelievable.
Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2016/05/19) */ Comfortable Home Systems went to [redacted] home to give him quote on 2 furnaces and duct work for a basement suite at his home. [redacted] new from the beginning that this was a very difficult job to do, he had agreed to work with us on the... pricing which we did not change. Included in the quote was for 2 days of labour. We started January 20/16 for a full day, we were there on the 21st, 22nd when he decided to add the air conditioner, as well as the 25th and Feb 3/16. We were extremely accommodating by redoing the main duct and heat runs at no extra cost after the job was completed because [redacted] changed his mind on the location of the duct. As for the HVAC permit which the office normally pulls the day prior of starting the job was unfortunately missed. [redacted] called the office on April 12/16 asking for the permit number, checked his file and noticed that there was no permit, the permit was immediately applied for. It was issued on the 13th of April. The permit was received at the office on April 18th and was emailed to [redacted] that day. The inspection was done on April 22/16. I am confused as to why he would have to reschedule the city to come in and inspect for the hvac permit several times. It is up to the homeowner to pull his/her own building permits for basement suite. It is not office policy to call for inspections as we do not know the homeowners schedule. The office called [redacted] on April 25/16 to go and fix deficiencies that day. [redacted] was suppose to meet the boys there to let in. The installers showed up but there was no answer and they waited 30 minutes for [redacted] but he did not show up to let in. I rescheduled for May 9/16 to go back. When we showed up on the 9th of May [redacted] had altered the mechanical room by sealing off door that gave us access to the hot water tank. As for the furnace installation poorly thought out, that was the only location that [redacted] would accept. The air conditioner could not be turned on in February as it is to cold. [redacted] was in charge of opening and sealing walls as discussed earlier on the day of the quote. All material that Comfortable Home Systems used was picked up and taken away, maybe it was another trade that left material there. [redacted] is implying that Comfortable Home Systems never returned call, emails or texts. The office returned every call and email that was sent, the office has printed every email that was left with response attached. There was an email dated March 18/16 in regards to extras [redacted] wanted done and a phone call was returned in regards to email. Comfortable Home Systems office never received any texts from ***.
