Comfort Inn Clearfield

Review: On Oct. 2-3 my organization booked 5 rooms for an event held in Clearfield, Pa. We checked in and within 2 hours the occupants of one room discovered multiple bedbugs on the bed and wall. They were noticeably disturbed and took the specimens and their luggage to the front desk to check out. They were offered another room but declined. The other four rooms checked out also and relocated to another area hotel, where we openly told that staff why we needed rooms, understanding they may not be willing to spread bedbugs. They stated to us that people had been reporting this as they requested rooms for several weeks. It is unconscionable and unhealthy that the problem had not been addressed, rooms closed, or efforts made to correct the problem at Comfort Inn. We attempted to contact the manager, and as of three days later, still had no had a callback. Best Western in Clearfield is the motel who verified multiple incidents of guests reporting multiple bedbugs. Our party all had to go to lengths to sanitize and treat our items. The Health Dept. needs to be made aware of this, also. Comfort Inn has done nothing to amend this issue after members made contact with corporate offices and customer support.Desired Settlement: The unhealthy and unsanitary conditions need to be addressed foremost and the inconvenience of our party reimbursed through contact by the hotel and chain.
