6/7/[redacted] was addressed by the property Executive Housekeeper on the day of the 7th in regards to the smell of smoke coming from the roomA guest answered and although stated they were not smoking in the room, the strong odor and visible presence of smoke in the room provided the opportunity for the Executive Housekeeper to remind the answering guest that we are 100% Smoke free and charges may applyOn the departure date of May 8th, cigarette ashes and discarded cigarettes were found in the trash can along with the obvious smell, odor and lingering of visible smokeThe room had to be placed out of order for days to distinguish the odor, creating a loss in revenue for our propertyPer the agreed stipulations upon check-in, she was charged the $fee for smoke in the roomPlease See attached documents as well as the dates in which l, the General Manager, personally inspected the room and the evidence collected in room [redacted] which [redacted] had occupiedPer [redacted] 's voicemail, I did call her back to discuss the claim and the charges but the voicemail did not allow for messages to be leftOur property has taken the appropriate steps to protect our assets and provide the guest with enough signage to visibly note that we are 100% Smoke Free to include the signed registrations card assuming all responsibility for damages to the room including smoke damage, as well as the pet fees, and the non-smoking plague outside of every room.I encourage you to contact me with any questions regarding this claimThank you for your diligence in addressing myself and the property in concern to the guest's claimAt this point, our property will not be issuing a refund to [redacted]

opportunity for the Executive Housekeeper to remind the answering guest that we are 100% Smoke free and charges may apply.
