Review: I called Colonial Iron early march, 2014and spoke to the owner about problems encountere with front step black aluminum railings installed a little over a year ago. Four footings installed on my stone slab steps caused significant breakage in the slab immediately around them. A private mason informed me that the installation was improper.
The owner told me he had other similar complaints and that he woud come by to remedy the situation. I never heard back from anyone despite leaving many messages on their voice mail. Since these fairly new front steps were fine prior to the installed railinhs and there was nothing else impacting the steps coupled with another mason's opinion, I can only fault the installation by Colonial for eventual damae to the steps.
After more than 3 months of waiting for Colonial Iron to honor their promise to correct the damage, I have taken other measures to repairr the steps and support the railings properly. Hence, I haveno other choice but to file this Revdex.com complaint and seekdamages against colonialIron for returnofmy $650.00 fee paid to the company which would help defray repair costs..
Your help in attaing a refund would be most appreciated.Desired Settlement: Refund installation price of $650 to help defray repair costs in excess of that amount..
Review: Anchoring material is cracking and the paint is peeling on outdoor aluminum railings installed in the spring of 2014.Desired Settlement: Fix anchoring issues and repaint areas that have peeled.
