Review: I help a family member with her rent. I set up automatic bill pay through my bank to pay her monthly rent. Mailed rent checks on time, however Colonial Heritage did not receive the mailed checks. Appeared they changed their address to [redacted] from 5500 and did not notify me. Showed them proof from my bank statement and bill pay that checks were mailed on time. They would not consider it. One of their staff member suggested I mail certified mail with return receipt to show they received the check. Seriously??

They charged me 10% late fee ($70). They would not waive it even though payment was made on time. They said it is a post office error not theirs.Desired Settlement: They should reverse late fee charged to the account
