Review: We contracted with Mr. Nathaniel M[redacted] in the summer of 2015 to paint the exterior of our house and garage. On August 31, 2015, Mr. M[redacted] told us the job was completed, and he collected payment in full. However, the rear wall of the garage, hidden from view, was left entirely unpainted. Upon discovering this on September 03, we immediately contacted Mr. M[redacted], who expressed surprise as if he were unaware of this. He said he would return to complete the job. Since then, I have emailed him every week to enquire about his plans to complete the work. Each time, he has given various reasons why he did not do so the previous week, and said that he will complete the painting in the coming week. It has now been 7 weeks since we paid Nathaniel M[redacted] for the job, which he told us he had completed, but which remains still uncompleted.Desired Settlement: Mr. M[redacted] has repeatedly said he will come and complete the job. We will be satisfied if the job can be completed by October 25. If Mr. M[redacted] is unable to complete this job within this time frame, we would accept a $1500 partial refund in lieu of completion, to cover the unpainted portion of the job and to offset the hassle, time, and expense of finding someone else to paint this last part of the job.
Review: I was given a quote to paint my house. I was told they would remove loose paint and make my shingles smooth to the surface. I was told they do not use electric sanders, but we spoke about specifically about making them smooth. These shingles have some bare wood spots, then many layers of paint on the other half. I was promised they would be smooth with out ridges. They started the job and I stopped them 5 hours into the project. The manager came back and realized he could not make them smooth after all. I did not want to have my house painted with many bumps and ridges and told them to cancel the project. I paid $950 down payment and they are refusing to give a portion back to me. I realize 3 workers showed up and tried and bought a paint scraper, but none of the house paint was ever purchased. I called the manager 3 times who passed me to the VP. We spoke and he never called back or tried to resolve the problem.Desired Settlement: I would like my $950 down payment back since the job they quoted was not accurate.
