The College Hunks team damaged almost every piece of my furniture in this local (within Florida) move.
I watched as one guy dragged my sofa across driveway pavers, scraping the wood finish off the feet and legs. I watched as another guy tipped a buffet serving table on end and snapped the legs off. No one bothered to set up a mangled set of metal shelves, instead leaving them in a twisted heap in my garage, where I had to bang them apart and reassemble them. When I sent in photos and descriptions of the claim, I was reimbursed for maybe half the damages. The rest the company claimed was pre-existing damage (it wasn't, I pointed it out to the movers when they unpacked the piece, so someone is lying,) or they said because they wrapped the furniture, it's not their fault it broke (how can this be!?!? I don't care how many blankets or layers of bubble wrap they used, they broke it!)
Would NEVER recommend these movers.
The workers were good but part of a bedroom set was accidentally taken. I did not watch everything being removed so shame on me. I tried.to get it back and called for 2 days before getting anyone in the office in W Palm Beach. Everyone said they would call back and No one did. Now I find out instead of going to storage or donate items it. was sent to scrap and now gone! The office could care less to help you and will now pick up calls or return calls. Would not recommend based on my situation.

I had the great pleasure of using the College Hunks Hauling Junk Company to remove and relocate much of the "stuff" in my storage unit. The two young men who helped me were totally personable, efficient and very professional.

College Hunks were excellent. I have used them several times. They arrive on time, and do the work with no complaint.
We needed household debris removed from a property in West Palm Beach and called College Hunks Hauling Junk. Our estimate size was smaller but the crew came on time and were extremely helpful to get our needs taken care of. They did a great job and helped us to complete our goal of clearing out the property. I would recommend them very highly. They delivered what was promised on time and on budget! Thank You!
5 stars to College Hunks Hauling Junk. I've used them twice and their pricing was so fair and the guys were professional and fast!
I am a local experienced Realtor who had one of my customers hire College Hunks to help them relocate their belongings from a West Palm Beach, FL condo to an apartment in Punta Gorda on the West Coast of Florida. As part of my real estate service, I accompanied a team member from College Hunks on a walk-through as he evaluated the contents to provide a quote. He was professional, thorough and straightforward in regard to quoting an accurate price. Working in real estate, I know that sometimes there can be unknowns on the other side of the move, such as stairs, tight entrances and elevators on the other side. He explained this upfront as that could affect the timing and cost. My customer obtained 2 other quotes, and College Hunks was competitive and impressed her the most, so she hired them. They were also able to accommodate a Sunday delivery. Everything went as planned, College Hunks delivered above and beyond service and my customer was happy, therefore I am happy and would highly recommend them.
They did a good and fast job and accommodated a last minute request! Thanks!

We were robbed and taken advantage of during our move. We have been poorly treated and our case means nothing to the local owner.
We just had our first big move and hired CHHJ because their prices were affordable for us. We first used the company when finding out we were moving to Georgia for work. I flew down to Florida so I could be there to help the new men get into our storage units. Unfortunately Hurricane Irma came at this same time and since I no longer had a safe place to stay in Florida I had no other option but to leave. I left only because the moving company understood and said it would be no problem for them to do the move without us there due to the circumstances. Finally once Hurricane passed *** heard nothing from the company for a few days. Finally giving them a call days later they had brushed our move to the side and didn't rush the move until we called asking what the deal was. On 9/14 the movers began loading up the truck and would be at our new home 9/15. I stayed in contact with the lead man Ernest the entire time. Before unloading Ernest and I did paperwork. We were surprised with a "discounted" $250 charge for having one of our old motorcycles in the storage unit. We never received a call or any concern regarding it. They gave us no option to op out of paying for it even though we were never informed. We gladly would have had them leave the motorcycle there and saved us from the forced bill of $250. We began the unloading and since there were only two guys and I gladly worked hard with them to help them get unloaded so they could drive back. Ernest complained and bragged a lot about the work he did. They left on very good time and I even tipped them $150. There were a few things we knew we needed from the storage unit for my husbands work, one being an expensive Magliner. It did not make it back to our home even though Ernest and the other mover claimed to have "seen" it. (They made no claim to using it) So, we contacted the local Manager Steve about the situation. He said they would talk to Ernest and see what happened to our Magliner. During this process we were never updated as to what was going on. Days and weeks would go by when we never heard anything, we would call having to beg for information. As I unpacked the house little by little we found so many more items missing! Almost everyday something new we would remember that we didn't see unpacking along with so many damages! Finding pictures I had of our storage unit I circled and directly sent and email to Steve letting him know with pictures so many of the things we are missing. Everytime we spoke to someone from the company they made it seem as if this was not a big deal to them. Many of the items were sentimental items to my husband's mother who just passed *** Finally came up with a list of items we are missing, totaling in worth easily over $1k. Large work items such as our argon gas tank for our welder, nail guns, and a pipe bender all missing. Steve finally gets back to us on October 19th with the evaluation of the whole situation. The Owner and the GM come up with no explanation and take no blame for what happened to our things. According to Ernest and the other workers nothing happened to all of our missing items except for the magliner which they found randomly on their property because the movers decided to use our belongings... They offered to buy us a new magliner and a check for $300 for inconvenience. A check for $300 doesn't cover the tip I gave the men who robbed us and the unexpected bill they didn't have the decency to tell us about beforehand. I called Steve myself devastated that we were robbed and this was the best answer the company came up with. Steve, on the phone gives me the excuse that he had no say in any of this and he was just the middleman. In this case I asked Steve if he had no say in any of this why was I speaking to him about anything. I asked him very politely that I would like the Owner or GM to personally give me a call. Today is November 6th. The company has made no effort to contact me or mail us the Magliner we were promised.
Undoubtably the only thing we want are our things back and a true explanation. we are not seeking money we want answers. Since those things will most likely not be given to us we want our Magliner and more than $300 since that money covers nothing close to the items we were robbed of.
Temporary Fuel and power shortages put everyone in the area out of business for a week. We did operate via cell phone and were taking calls at our call center.
The move was quoted flat rate based on an agreed to inventory. The motorcycle was not on that as well as about 3000 pounds of additional items. Ernest made a decision to load everything however a motorcycle did require an addition to the fee. If the entire overage was billed it would have been substantially more. If we were informed of the motorcycle ahead of time we could have offered options.
We did recover your magliner and did accept your claim for the missing items. We offered more than the contracted rate of 60 cents per pound because of the sentimental value of a few of the items. This offer was to ups you the magliner and reimburse you $150.00 or reimburse you $300.00 so you can buy a new one.
We have been waiting for you to respond to our offer.
As an additional note, the Argon Tank, pipe bender were not on your original list or claim. We cannot move a combustible tank by law. If it were in the unit, we would have made this clear. If it were on the inventory given to us we would have discussed it before the move.
In an effort to resolve this we will send the magliner, it will ship on Friday November 17th and will send you a check for the full 300.00 to add for the additional listed items.
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
This company helped minimize the stressful ordeal of moving for my family and I. Everyone I worked with was very positive. Kassie who did the estimate was very thorough, Ryan who helped with scheduling was really flexible and professional. The guys who moved everything were very positive, and efficient. Most importantly they were very careful with everything. The price was the best I could find, and they never tried to charge more that what was estimated. I would highly recommend using them whenever you need to change your adress!!
Thank You for your kind words. We hope you will share your experience!
The employees are stealing people's things while they are moving. I know of one item that was stolen from me
I had a processor that was sitting on a desk that was in a package and I left and it was opened and the CPU was gone.
I just want the item returned or replaced
we would like to help you. Can you lease supply more info. Date of Move, Address or at least zip code and the name it was booked under. We could not find any information using both the long and short spellings of your name.
