Horrible
So glad I found these reviews.. I contacted him a few weeks back about his services.. initially he did sound a little rude over the phone as mentioned on a few of his reviews...chaulked it up as a bad day... not until we spoke again the other day I was deciding to go with him.. on a last minute wim... I thought I better check his reviews online just to be sure I was making the right decision.. well.. sure glad I did!

I decided it was not a good idea to proceed with him and let him know this.. he emailed me back and said..

"Not going to cry over your 600 dollars I promise. Until you called I had forgotten you existed."

WOW. how professional is that? I simply responded..thank you for clarifying that I made the right decision.. I would definitely NOT recommend

Please stay away from this scammer
He promised to give me my drawing in 2 days and it’s been over a week he is very rude and condescending paid him over 1650 so far and have not been able to get my drawing I’d is a scanner

and these

so what are these then

Thats odd because not only did you receive your drawings but that was the second time you hired me..Also you claimed younwere selling the building as is and getting out of it. First you needed zoning drawings for a day care. I provided those. Then a year or 2 later you wanted zoning drawings again which you were provided with to rezone this same property again and things only went sideways when the scope of work changed again qnd you were told that diversion from the agreed upon and quoted scope of work would incur addition an additional charge so. So I'm confused as to you hoped to accomplish here. You changed the scope of work.to something that was not quoted or charged for and didmt want to pay an additional fee. With that being the second time you had hired me. So if I or my services were sooooo terrible then explain to us as to why we were hired again. I swear this site needs the ability to add attachments so I can post our entire email thread and expose your fraudulent claim. That if valid would be in A COURT OF LAW or Better Business Bureau complaint page and not the murky court of public opinion. Here's why tho. OFFICIAL COMPLAINT BOARDS AND COURTS REQUIRE EVIDENCE AND PROOF AND DONT SLANDER PEOPLE JUST ON SOMEONES SAY SO. ALSO THEY ALLOW THE ACCUSED TO PROVIDE PROOF THAT THE ACCUSER IF LYING
.

Not licensed Scammer
Colin Briadus misrepresents himself as a licensed architect. The sketches he made were useless and not acceptable by the county. He is rude and speaks very condescending to everyone and HE IS Not licensed. Scammer ! Stay away

DO NOT RECOMMEND
I Would not recommend. Colin was rude and unprofessional, cares little about customer service. I Never received final copy of design after full payment was made.

Thats interesting. Attached are will screenshots of the emails where they were sent and you can see in the emails where I had to practically neg you to make payment after such an extreme sense of urgency was displayed that magically disappeared as of the moment you received a final invoice. You guys often forget that you signed a contact acknowledging that final payment is due upon completion of plan set when breathing down my neck and throwing temper tantrums because you didnt get real time responses to emails at midnight after ignoring my calls.and emails made and sent during actual decent/business hours. Not due 3 weeks after or when you feel like finally ceasing to avoid me. Not when u decide to look at them a month later.

Colin Broadus of Colin Drew & Co Designs LLC is not an licensed architect or engineer. Although he had said and contracted for engineer signed drawing for my apartment renovation he never produced them. I paid him $2298.75 and received nothing. He never even went to the work site in New York City. Would avoid him because towards the end his emails were very vile and paranoid.

Colin Drew and Company was hired to design my restaurant and did an awesome job. I wish it was possible to add pictures to your review. His drawings were very detailed and [redacted] seemed to have a great understanding of building code and zoning requirements and got our project approved with ease. I recommended him to my neighbor who hired them to design gut renovation for a brownstone he purchased as an investment property. They are nearly finished construction and so far it looks great. They are very creative and good at simplifying the technical stuff and translating that so that I could stay in the loop regarding my project status.

Riddle me this? If you weren't getting anything and our payment structure is based on completion of phases then hoe did you ever get past the first payment if you RECEIVED Nothing but a "little sketch"? Come on now sir. We completed a phase sent the next round of drawings along with an invoice you refused to pay as outlined in the agreement and tried to bully me into completing the entire project without any further payment until the end. No one in this industry does business that way. Furthermore, we had a binding contract and predetermined payment schedule based on benchmarks (completed phases) So NO I didn't allow you to go off the grid and just take it upon yourself to rewrite the rules and pay me as u see fit when u see fit. That's called BREACH OF CONTRACT! LAST I CHECKED YOU DONT GET TO BREAK YOUR TERMS OF YOUR CONTRACT GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR AND THEN GET A REFUND! I'm pretty sure you already know that thus the fact that we are having this conversation here instead if A COURT OF LAW

Paid Colin Broadus and Keon Henry $3, 400 and received absolutely nothing. Neither of them responded to numerous e-mails or phone calls. Upon further research, neither one is a license architect, even though Broadus represents himself as an architect.
Colin Drew Broadus is a low level scam artist. He always misrepresents himself as a licensed architect looking to scam small-business people out of their hard earned money. His ads express competence and initially his phone demeanor does as well, but don't be fooled. He will not deliver what he promises.

Review: I was looking for an architect to remodel my current building to either do an expansion phase or reconstruct the entire property. After seeing an ad on craigslist, I contacted a person by the name of [redacted] Broadus, advising that he would be able to complete the job as he was representing a licensed architect. We had set a date for him to come and inspect the building, but in return he sent his assistant to take measurements. After he was done, we had a phone conversation and was presented with an agreement which remains unsigned to date. Carefully examining the contract, we had some questions that [redacted] wasnt able to cooperate and solve over the phone. He explained that this agreement would be extendable since according to me lacks many important points. (For example: the phases were not clearly explained as to what they consist of. He briefly summarized them over the phone but when I prompted to have them in writing he complained that this is the contract he has been using for years and wouldn't do so. We delivered $1900 to his assistant to begin and complete phase 1 via check. He didnt hear from him for days and then showed us a small drawing of the measurements in an adobe reader format. When we asked that if the change is allowed, he shouldve communicated to us that if the city allows extension and if so we would promote new drawing but all he did was he showed the current plan. He then asked for $950 sent via a platform by the name of (WE PAY). Nowhere in this contract was it listed that he would use that platform, he had initially accepted a check and we agreed to pay but the condition was to prove to us the work he had accomplished. He failed to provide that information when prompted to cooperate with us, but he didn't wish to handle the situation with professionalism. After conducting some research over the internet, we discovered that many unhappy clients had lost funds since he did not deliver his services and poses as a licensed architect.Desired Settlement: I have paid $1900 via check and $950 via CC thus far. He refused to finish the job and refuses to give a refund. I would like a full refund.
