I show up to buy a diamond. He insisted I show him my money before I did business with him. Insisting also that the area was so dangerous they had to be security conscious. So I show him.
The diamond wasn't even real.
After I affirm having the cash the guy hands me the diamond. It was a fake diamond coated with real diamond bits. The only way to spot these is by knowing diamonds and how they reflect light. These diamonds fool electronic diamond testers.
He told me he knew very little about diamonds. They didnt have any of the proper test equipment.
Surprised I said I had the equipment in my car.
When I came back he gave me the diamond outside the shop after insisting to see the money I had again. He made me count it to see how much I had.
It told him based on the information I had he was selling a fake diamond. I told him I had a sure way to test it. A scratch test with another diamond. I warned him it would destroy the stone if it wasn't really a diamond when he snatches it out of my hand and demands I make an offer.
I ask him what the deal is? I showed him the cash. He tells me he had a guy follow me out to my car. I guess the car wasn't nice enough for them to believe I was a serious buyer.
These guys deserve no business. While I went outside a woman with silver came in. They made me wait outside while they made a very low ball offer for her silver. Claiming their offer was 5% below market value.
More like 50% below. Thank God she didnt take the offer.
On July 21, Mr. came to our shop located in Vancouver, WA. We buy, sell and trade collectible coins, jewelry and occasionally diamonds. We are very security conscious due to recurring criminal activity in this industry as a whole including theft, robbery and murder.
We were recently robbed a few weeks prior to this incident and were on alert. When Mr. entered the shop, he indicated he had reviewed a listing for diamonds on “Offer-Up”, an electronic selling app for smartphone users and was here to view the products in the interest of purchasing them. After reviewing the products and discussing an offer, Mr. indicated he would like to go out to his car to get equipment. In the interest of keeping all employees safe, we had someone go outside to ensure Mr. was not going to get a weapon and return.
The employee came back and reported that Mr. had walked around the side of our private building. When asked his about his behavior, he said that he had urinated on our building because he assumed we didn’t have a bathroom or that we wouldn’t let him use it. At that point, the entire exchange went downhill. We were concerned that his behavior was suspicious and seeked to remove ourselves from the transaction as fast as possible, also in the interest of security. The opinions and claims that Mr. has described in his complaint, are contradictory and moot. We strive to serve our community and country and have a long history of taking care of our wonderful customers. We are disappointed that this particular encounter has resulted in such slander.
Lol. That's gotta be the craziest story I've ever heard. It doesn't even warrant a response. But I'll give one anyway. You say you had someone follow me? And I was the one who told you I "urinated" on the building? So what did the guy following me say he saw? And didnt you say you are security conscious? Wouldnt the crime be reported by you as such? And What does that have to do with treating a cash in hand customer the way you did? Like this insult is put of character for such a man as yourself. Allow the court of public opinion decide.
