Coastal Home Inspection

Review: I hired Coastal Home Inspection to inspect a house prior to purchase. This home inspection company missed major termite and black ant damages. The home inspection company contracted an extermination company that missed obvious termite and black ant issues. Shortly after the purchase of the house black carpenter ants were seen inside the house. Another extermination company was called by the current homeowner and the extermination company reported termite damages. Then upon further investigation more termite damage was found. The home inspector was contacted and agreed to have a termite treatment done free of charge for the current homeowner. Also, the home inspector contacted a contractor to review the repairs needed for the house. The home inspector visited the home at least 3 times to review the damages. Also multiple phone calls were exchanged between the home inspector and home owner regarding termite damage. The home inspector, homeowner, and contractor all met together during July of 2014 and decided replacement door sills and possible under siding was needed . As of September 2014, Coastal Home Inspection has failed to rectify the situation and has denied any wrong doing.Desired Settlement: I would like the termite damage that was missed by Coastal Home Inspection to be repaired.
