On October 4, Mrs*** called the dealership to inquire about the cost of a fuel induction cleaningI quoted her a price of $and an appointment was scheduled for October 12. Upon arriving for her appointment, Mrs. *** asked the service advisor how much it
would cost for us to install new spark plugs that she already had in her possession. The service advisor quoted Mrs*** $labor to install the new plugs. Mrs*** agreed and signed a repair order giving Coad Toyota consent to conduct a fuel induction cleaning and install new spark plugs. When the work was completed and Mrs*** was presented with an invoice of $plus tax, she became very upset, claiming the amount was incorrect. She was rude and condescending to the service advisor and other department staff. Mrs*** left the dealership and returned a short time later complaining of an illuminated airbag light. This particular concern had already been diagnosed by our service department almost years ago on 12/2/2013. At that time, Mrs*** declined the repair. We informed Mrs*** that placing an excessive amount of large personal items under the passenger seat can have an effect on the airbag sensors and suggested that those items be removed. It was at that time, that Mrs*** accused our technician of deliberately placing those items under her seat. We do not feel Mrs*** is due any compensation at this time. Mrs*** signed a repair order documenting the work to be performed at the price we quoted. Thank You, *** ***
