Review: I was charged about 600$ for a $10.45 overdraft fee the bank didnt even pay the $10.45 but kept charging that amount plus the overdraft fee on a dozen or more occasions. I went to the bank in ridgway pa about this and was given no help the manager told me she could not authorize any refund. I came home and called the main branch and was told by them that the manager of that bank in ridgway was the only person who could authorize any amount of refund. I think this very very unfair.Desired Settlement: I would be willing to compromise on some late fees

On 5/16/14 we received a letter from your office describing a complaint from one of our

customers. This customer stated that he was charged about $600.00 in overdraft fees for one

transaction of $10.45.

Upon investigation in this mailer the Branch Manager was contacted and she stated that she

talked to the customer on or around May 2, 2014 concerning his overdraft fees. She stated that

the overdraft fees and NSF return check fees were due to the customers Internet activity which

included multiple transactions. The Manager stated that withdrawals from his account

continued to be represented again after they were returned. The Manager told the customer

that he would need to contact his Internet accounts to stop the automatic withdraws that were

coming out of his account.

From May 2, 2014 to May 16, 2014, the Internet transactions stopped and the customer’s

account remained in the positive.

We also noted that we have not had a correct address for this customer since 2011; therefore

the customer has not received statements since then. This may be contributing to the fact that

the customer was not aware of the automatic withdraws coming out of his account.

If the customer would like to discuss refunds of the overdraft fees and NSF return check fees

with the Branch Manager, he only needs to go into the branch and meet with the Manager. The

Manager can also obtain the correct mailing address for this customer
