Oh my goodness are these guys bad: both in terms of IT knowledge and customer service.
I manage a commercial lending firm out of Lone Tree and though we have been customers of CMIT for a bit over three years now, due to a recent change in circumstances our previous owners decided to leave the business and transition its current customers to be absorbed by CMIT of S. Metro, owned by *** Loobeek (another local franchisee). Which was fine, that is until the first time we actually had an IT issue and needed support... Last week my computer crashed. So I gave *** a call and he quickly proceeded to pawn me off on some of their low level call center tech support (who we have never had much luck with in the past). After spending hours on the phone, late into the evening they asked that I leave my computer on overnight so that they could continue to work on the problem and have it ready for me by morning. I stressed the importance of needing my computer first thing the following day and had them promise to call me should anything come up (as I might need to run out and quickly buy a new one should they be unsuccessful). Anyways, in what seems to be the norm, nothing had been fixed by the following day, nor had I received the promised call/notice. So again I called *** for some assistance. He then promised to have a team of his top guys working on it as quickly as possible... A few minutes later I get a call from another low level call center guy who said that *** had asked him to give me a call (did he really just pawn me off again? Sure seemed like it). Eventually, tired of waiting, and after several attempts to reach ***: I decided to reach out to a friend in the IT industry (out of Nashville): who after literally two minutes (off the top of his head) fixed my problem... perhaps just luck, but unfortunately this seems to be an ongoing theme of me finding much better IT knowledge elsewhere over the years.... Problem, was that my system appeared to have been completely reset by ***'s team. So my buddy told me that it should be a simple fix and to just call them back to ask that they reverse whatever it is that they did the previous evening. Anyways, called *** once again who pretty much brushed it off as not something that they had done... So I frustratingly spent the next few days personally working on getting my laptop back into usable condition... I then met with our business partners to come up with a plan as this new arrangement with *** was clearly not going so well... Ultimately we decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and at least set up a meeting to go over our current set up (which frankly was a bit of a mess: paying for more workstations than we have employees over the last few years, etc.). Anyways, he and I had originally set up a meeting for that Friday, but after multiple schedule changes he essentially went dark... I wrote him several emails as well as daily follow ups since last week without a single call or response form ***... Not sure if it was coincidence or not, but it wasn't until the following week when I decided to get our attorney involved (out of loss for ideas on how else to reach this guy) and out of fear that we may require legal involvement to move our various systems and such from this non responsive IT company... Well that is about the time I finally heard from our previous owners (not ***) that their previous customers are now being transferred to an alternative CMIT franchisee owner (perhaps others were unhappy with *** as well?)... Great news, for us, but quite sketchy how *** couldn't have at least gotten back to me over the last week or so... Anyways, If you are looking for an IT company to handle your business' various needs, I would honestly suggest that you steer clear of CMIT in general (we have frankly been less than impressed time and time again over the years), but definitely avoid this South Metro branch: currently owned and ran by *** Loobeek... you have so many better options ran by people who not only know what they are doing (kind of the whole point of hiring IT people to begin with isnt it) but also have much better customer service skills. Cheers!
Update: We have since been transferred over to the West Metro branch of CMIT, ran by another franchisee owner: John ***. He and I have spoken a couple times now and he was extremely responsive dealing with another issue we had and addressing our concerns... So, I know that it has only been a few days now (so perhaps to soon to tell) but I am already quite confident in moving forward with the replacement. And wanted to comment that sometimes a business is only as good as its owner/employees and perhaps you simply try another franchise of CMIT (such as the West Metro branch) before writing them off all together.
