I was sold a vehicle with TERRIBLE MECHANICAL ISSUES,. Portraying false advertisement on social media and lying to me, I want a FULL REFUND.
My employment has been affected by covid-19, lost my job and my previous car. so im in search for a reliable car.I bought a 2000 Honda odyssey from Clos Austosales on may 19, 2019. The van had the incorrect year they advertised stating it was 2001 on a social media ad. Receipt no. XXXXXX shows I bought the for $1,800 from Carlos in cash. The guy who processed the transaction stated his name is victor. SKETCHY. Even the sales guy outside said his name is Carlos. The Van has transmission issues. May 19th, I test drove the van, unaware of why the van had a slight kick when it shifted gears. I asked the salesmen why its like that, he mentioned that the van is supposed to feel like that because its a van. no additional information. I asked probing questions about the van but the salesmen kept answering in vaguely. I asked if there is any mechanical or electrical issues, he stated that there is no issues at all. he did not tell me to be aware of any current or potential issues. he stated that the van is in perfect condition. I reminded him that even Social Media ad says " no mechanical and transmission issues. He was speaking with confidence as if it really was. He was taking advantage of my unawareness of the mechanical aspect of the vehicle. Driving the vehicle home, the car had a hard clunk while i'm merging into the freeway at 55mph, I had to pull over to the side of the freeway because I was afraid of driving the van. I immediately called Clos Automotive because of the situation I had. They stated to go back to the dealership the following day, May 20th. I went back on may 20th but victor was not there. anyone aside from him refused to assist me. salesman outside refused to assist me and kept saying "i cant help you, wait till Carlos (referring to victor) comes back tomorrow". TERRIBLE SERVICE. May 21st, I went back and told victor everything. I gave him an honest complaint. He test drove the van, I said DO NOT DRIVE FAST BECAUSE IM AFRAID OF ADDITIONAL ISSUES but he does exactly opposite from what I said. He Hauls 50-60mph on the street which was completely over the speed limit and feels the clunking, he ignores it and says its not a problem, its how the van is. several times did the van clunk hard. watching his face, he looked worried and lied and said that its normal. In his office, I asked who his boss is because he said he cant help me. he refused to give me his boss' name and information regarding his number and email. he stated he will contact his boss to tell him to call me. I said I demand to get a call from him within a week. I received zero contact from his boss. driving back home, on the same day, the TCS warning light comes on while driving out of the dealership driveway. I pull over again to the side and called victor immediately, I said the TCS warning light is on and the car is making as loud humming sound and he said its nothing and that it doesn't relate to the mechanical part of the car. I told him I want his boss's information and he refused again to give it to me. he said he will tell his boss to call me that day. waiting all day, I have not received any calls at all, not even from him. I've called victor several times after and he ignored my calls. I have not gone back to the dealership nor drove the van since then, may 21st. He refused to Help, Assist, and serve my inconvenience. violating UDAAP, I am an unsatisfied customer. I am very unhappy, yet angry about the vehicle and I want my full refund back.
I want a full refund of how much i paid $1,800. I want the contact of their "big boss". I want them to be TRUTHFUL.
The car agreed upon is not the car that was given to me. I was supposed to be purchasing a 2009 Toyota but instead he gave me a 2008 that doesn't run.
I first went to the Clos autosales dealership on the 1st of November 2019 seeking a car that was advertised as a Toyota Prius 2009. I went and wanted to place the car on hold so I gave a $200 deposit. The car I reserved was a 2009 Toyota Prius. I then went again with my friend on November 12th 2019 and decided to purchase the car. I paid and signed the sales agreement. Once I went outside the car was not a 2009 Toyota Prius but instead was a 2008 and it had multiple lights on the dashboard displaying problems with the car. These were not there in the previous car I saw. All of the documents say 2009 and instead I was being given a 2008 Toyota. Upon complaining to the owner he said that this was no longer his problem and that he would not give refunds even though this was not the car I had agreed to purchase. The temporary license plate for this car is XXXXXK7 and it is registered as a 2008 Toyota. I would like my money back as this was a scam on the dealerships part.
I wish to get a full refund or to receive the working 2009 Toyota Prius that was advertised.
